Heads Up on H&R # 50452 for 07 cooperS

Hello fellow Motorists, today I got my H&R set from a well known tire place, shop around as I see the prices are high and low.

I will have them installed tomorrow and will post some shoots.

can't wait to lower the little beast!!

Claim drop of 1.4" front 1.4" rear on the invoice, we'll see.

Diablito, What do they cost to get installed?

You can order them on-line for this price at the TireRack. Here is a link to them.

I would call them and order them on the phone, but thats just me. the price is the price there is no hanky panky about it, is not an special price or anything like that. so I think online or phone would be the same.

Tomorrow I will know how much will cost me to install them.

The timeframe is about right for when Tire Rack said they'd get the H&R springs for the R56; late April. Rock on!

off set question:

Glad to hear the H&R springs are in.
Question: I have 17" Enkei RFP 1 wheels, ET 43. My car has the sport suspension & I wonder if the H&R's spring kit will lower to the point of rubbing?
Seems like a 5-7mm ET difference from OE wheels should not be critical?
Thanks

I placed my order with Tire Rack today and should have them the same time as Eagletangogreen. Sadly...I'm purchasing lowering springs for a car I don't even have yet
At least the order is in...just have to wait till around July to get her.:impatient
Damn them for making me wait!!!

You guys going to love this ...I got them installed today 4.5 hours.

The car rides great I am surprised...I will have the recommended 4 wheel aligment as MACH V DAN suggested, which I think its a must.

My 17's do not rub at all, I took it for a spin around the industrial park where I took this photos and the car corners like a kart. Set up my sway bar to the highest setting today and feels right to me.

Here are the Pictures:

UNBELIEVABLE!

Great job on the springs, the stance is PERFECT but the pics look even better Is your paint job plugged into an outlet or something!!! That car just GLOWS! I will be lowering my car, but it has to wait till next spring. I decided to some other mods first, could've lowered it first, but I chose some other things first. Come next spring its getting done, trust me on that one!

How far from the ground is the front air damn/brush gaurd?

Great pics again. I love the way you post process your photos.

Your R56 looks great with the new ride-height. Looking forward to hearing your impressions of the ride quality over the next month. My bet is that the stock shocks will start to deteriorate quickly.

Ok, I am not a gambler BUT how much would you like to bet and for how long? LOL...

I had H&R's on 2 vehicles before this one 2002 MKIV 1.8t, 2004 Mustang Cobra and they did alright, shocks work just fine for me. I guess depends on the driving maners.... BUT as time goes on Bilsteins will the choice.

I just came back from Miami, from the fund raising event to support Pedro and his Mini going down to race La Carrera Panamericana down in Mexico and the the ride is as expected...smooth so far, BUT! I will keep on 17's for sure.

Thank you for the comment on the looks...I like it!

Thank you... The guard is close to the ground I was just commenting about it with some R53 people at the fund raising event earlier today...I will have to be careful not to snag and pull it off. it is about 2.5" from the edge to the road..pleanty of space

Agreed. Maybe pop it off proactively. The Aero kit has two separate low hangers on the sides. I'm scraping those and I haven't lowered yet.

Looks proper!

FYI: the part number on the spring itself matches exactly my German-sourced H&R springs! That means they are the same spring set, just the box has a different part number for the U.S.A. catalog/system.

I am not 100% but I think all H&R are made in Germany and are TUV or something like that. Good eye Ry!! cheers mate I am loving the ride.

In this picture I took this morning of my friends MCS's you can see starting on the left R56 H&R, R53 Coilovers R53 Stock.

You did finish tightening the upper strut bolts???
The front air dam can be trimmed with dremel tool if it scrapes too much. Looks great.

hiya Ry...I am using a 19mm Minspeed bar...I had it in the middle setting for 1000 miles felt good and tight, I decided to go full adjust after the springs installed and feel like is on rails.

Diab, your awesome pics just sold another set of H&R springs. :-) I ordered mine from Dan on Friday. A 4.5 hr install ran you $250 or so, I take it? DId it include alignment and camber adjustment? I'm hoping I don't need additional parts and that my shocks and daily ride won't suffer too much...I also think I'll trim or remove the plastic guard. My 2c: I think the new model sits too high! The 1.4" drop looks perfect. Looks almost like a Porsche 911 from the front. Thanks for posting the pics and details!
