Yeah, but 2 problems come up with that. 1, Tim and that Doctor don't seem like jackasses. And 2, they have a better car.

Okay, I saw the first episode last Wednesday. I was really disappointed in the lack of quality in the show. The opening sequence was absolutely AWFUL. Those two dumb models had about as much personality as a piece of dry toast. Who writes this crap? The end segment about the girl walking through an import show was also awful.

If the producers of the show happen to be reading this thread, please do us all a huge favor: instead of horrible 5-minute openings and closings, overly long "coming up next" segments, and a measly little 5 minutes spent on each tuner, how about you just give us a solid 8 minutes on each tuner. The rest of that half hour can be commercials.

WE ARE NOT WATCHING THIS SHOW FOR ANY REASON OTHER THAN THE CARS BEING BUILT. We do not care about dumb tuner girls who cannot speak, act or correograph themselves out of a paper bag.

We want to see more of the actual build-ups!

Do you suppose they "dumbed it down" for the Mitsubishi enthusiasts?

Sideskirts are JCW. Wing looks to be JCW as well.

Yes, but for "Stealth Value" it's hard to beat that EVO I think they said in episode 1 that they were looking at the 500-700 hp range and at least the hood, trunk lid, doors and front quarter-panels are Carbon Fiber.

That EVO is not "stealth". The stickers, wing, and body kit say "I am a race car." Now if the painted it regular black with a clearcoat and had a small wing and 15's that would be stealth.

The MINI looks original but the other two cars look like "street tuners." Sure, if the show was called Sci-Fi movie car challenge then the MINI would win hands down but it is out of place in this arena.

HAHAHAHA "sci-fi challenge".....good call. It certainly struggles against its competition in the looks department.

The MINI needs to lose all the graphics & the emergency beacons. If they had stayed with flat black on red and kept it clean it woulda been hot.

This MINI is more than just a car for STC. Its a concept designed to promote the first responders. Tim calls it a pursuit vehicle.

If you have seen any of Furballed's previous stuff, you would say business as usual, not over the top.

Thats cool. I wonder how much the show will reveal. My understanding is that on the track, the competition is about the delta between stock and modified. I wonder how they are handling driving chores?

you can have pretty much anyone driving your car for you is my understanding.... regardless, the EVO is being built for the big picture of time attack. The TV show is to showcase the car for sponsors.
