Anyone removed the dashboard yet?? I would like to paint mine and not sure how difficult it will be to remove the beast.

 

This i will watch, have seen a couple NICE lookin' painted ones (pics) in NAM forums.

open your doors all the way
there is a plastic cover along the side of the dash use a butter knife to pry it off
two or three torx screws to remove
the whole top comes off by pulling up and toword the rear of the car
now you can just yank all the dash pieces off. the one that covers the airbag is harder to get off i hear. i hve not messed with that one ithink that there are screws on the top and maybe under it

 

Thanks for your help on the dash removal. If I discover a few twists, secrets, I will relay them to you.

It mainly shows how to remove the instrument panel, but there might be some other stuff on that site. I saw a good dashboard how-to one time, you may want to do a quick search on here to see if you can find it....
