I know! The front is about an inch higher than the back. I need to lower it, but not until I get more camber in the rear. It's rubbing like craazzyyyy.

Yeah, they're 16s.

Hey everyone, been following and loving this thread for a while now; I'm about to finally be getting off my mach v springs and onto coilovers. I wanted to check with all the truly 'slammed' drivers to see which coils would be best, I know they're all more or less the same but I just wanted to check if anyone's had any issues or regrets with the setup they have. I plan on puttin it as far down as my city's streets will allow, fyi.

KW's are known to go the lowest as are VMAXXs. H&Rs dont go that low, and I dont think some of the other brands do as well.

I'm not sure where you're getting your data but I'm running H&Rs at full height with 1.2" of drop front and 1" rear. There is tons of thread to drop it much further.

thats cool and all.. but i have been on H&Rs.. and am now on KWs.. I am lower on KWs.. like 2.5-2.7" side skirt to ground and about 1" bumper to ground.

KWs go lower, I am sorry. My KWs all the up barely have a finger of wheel gap.. and thats trying.

H&Rs may go "low" but they dont SLAM.

Lemme know when H&Rs go this low:

or this low.. here is with 20 threads left in the front still:

Yup H&Rs (I've had them as well) are actually the least full drop of any coilover I am aware of for the Minis. BC Racing go lower and KW/Vmaxx go wayy lower.

No worries. I misunderstood your post and read it as "they don't go low" versus "as low". It's not a big deal.

As for slamming it, it's not my thing (and it wouldn't fly with the roads/speed bumps I have to contend with).

Thanks everyone, I think I'm gonna be going with the KW's. Any suggestions as to which variant? As mentioned, I'm basically just looking to slam the car, super high performance isn't crucial, I won't be raising it to track the car often. Also, what other suspension components are 'necessary' with switching to coils in order to save stock hardware?

New here, but I know that BC makes an "Extreme Low" coilover for other makes. They don't have them listed on their site. You have to call them, or ask your favorite vendor of them, if they make them for the mini, too. On other makes, they can lay frame with them. Just a thought.

I have talked to BC many times about going lower and the available parts for the Mini. If they had something like this I hope it would've come up, but you never know.

Good to know Creeve! I didn't know this. If you've spoken with them numerous times, they definitely would've told you about them! I hadn't seen them mentioned before, so I figured I'd throw it out there, and see what happened.

I personally love my V1s. Granted i dont have dampening control but they ride great and everything. I also got a smokin deal on them haha.

A question for everyone: Has anyone cut the metal in the fender to prevent rubbing? How did you cut it? Any pictures of the finished product? Also, will more negative camber help prevent rubbing? Im pretty sure it does, but just making sure before I buy things to give me more camber.

Sacred, your car and video is impressive. The way that you were catching guys on the straights and not giving anything up in the corners. Very nicely done, and well driven. If there was an award for 'meanest MINI', you have my vote.

I watched the video of your run. Sweet! I'd give my right nut to drive the ring someday.
