Hi All- From a new member
Getting ready to order 07 Mini Base. At 63 years old afraid the 's' will just get me into trouble. Also like the idea of the best mpg available. Last decision- Mellow Yellow or Pepper White? Going for PP,CP,SP, CW and All-seasons. At 6000' lots of snow. How does the blue tooth option work? Looking for an 07 in the Sun Valley area in PW to look at- heard it is an off white so need to see one. Nearest dealer in Murry UT. May be time for a road trip.

Rick, I've found my MC plenty peppy enough. And welcome to NAM.

Hi Rick! Either way you go, youll be happy! I live in Blackfoot, and know as of right now there are no white ones from the Utah border up to Idaho Falls (yes I am pathetic, I pretty much know where all the minis are, and what they are-lets just say I have no life). Anyway, cant wait to hear more about your future mini...and if youre afraid of "speeding" trouble, you can always buy a Rocky Mountain radar detector-they not only warn you way in advance, but also scramble the return radar to the friendly people on the other side of the radar gun! (Illegal in Utah though).

07 MC Ordered
Well, seems to be be quite a few Mini's here in Sun Valley/Ketchum. Just looked at a PW/B and I'm sold. Just put down a deposite on 'Casper" a PW/PW. Also popped for the HiFi option- gotta be better than stock.
Fuel question: From the old gear-head days-- high altitude=less Oxygen therefor cars run richer. Does the Mini want less than 91 octane when running at 5000-6000 ft ?

I have tried both, and I do have to say my car seems to get better mileage with the higher octane. I dont think we are quite as high up as you, but its within 500' or so. I could get a sectional chart out and find out exactly. Anyway, congrats on Casper, Im sure you will be a very happy camper!
