First Posting - Introduction
Hello All,
I'm happy to be a posting member versus a veiwing member of NAM. I have been a fan of the MINI since before time. When I was actively Vintage Racing , I was always aware the Mini Coopers from the 60's could overtake me in a corner and take the inside line even better than my Alfa Romeo GT. It was always interesting to see if my 1600 could make more power and speed than some of the hyper-tuned Cooper S vintage racers, not always.
So enough remembering, the bug finally got to me. I figured it is about 3 years before Alfa Romeo brings a reasonable Alfa back to the U S market, thus I am making my personal driver a new 07 MCS.
On the Titus: somewhere off the West Coast, I sure hope it gets here very soon.
Ordered: April 8, 2007
Dark Silver Metallic MCS, white roof/mirrors, Chrome Line Interior, English Oak, Conv. Pkg, Sport Pkg, Cold Weather Pkg, 17" Alloy Web Spoke, Steptronic Auto with Paddles (for us older guys).

Welcome to NAM, Don from Colorado! From one older guy to another, some of us are still kid foolish enough to enjoy shifting! Hope your soon to be arriving car is all you want it to be. My first experience of moving faster than 100 mph was in a friends Alfa Romeo in Germany. Pretty exciting!!

Thanks for the welcomes
The folks on this BB have been very informative and helpful when I have asked questions. NAM is fun to read, perhaps to much.
Looking forward to posting a few pictures late next week.

Being a car-o-holic, I have had two Alfa Spiders. My Alfas werent souped up or anything, but they were still pretty quick and nible cars, and although they were pretty sweet, I dont hink they could even begin to compare to the never ending smile I get from the MINI. Cant wait to see your pictures...and you are very correct, this is an excellent site, with so many super people, how could you not want to be part of it. It is very addicting!
