Life... and Cars!!
All of us bought this car for the same reason: because we like it!
But which phase of life are you in:
A - marrying, soon to be or are a homeowner
B - kids, married, career looking more progressive
C - kids want your car keys and wallet, lots of nagging and 'Alright! Alright!'
D - kids moved out(finally), renewing each other's love , career doing well
E - retired and livin' it up(only what you can afford)
F - single
...And how do your attitudes and feelings with regard to the purchase and ownership of a MINI reflect your perspective of your life's circumstances? (feel free to answer this one in your head )

So, How about D & E, since 50% of this household is among the happily working.
The MINI is my daily driver (will be). I needed another car and could not think about adding another Jeep (3) to the family litter. I'm working on staying among the retired except for hobby jobs.
All enjoy your MINIs.

I'm a version of A: in an LTR, marriage/civil union and home ownership in the future
I started making "reasons" to drive, such as "oh, we should have a picnic out in the country today" or "we should go get farm fresh vegtables for our salads this week"

My MCS was a replacement for my Harley that I sold. It is now my daily driver. Everytime I get in this car it is fun, fun....
Life has thrown me a major curve in the last 6 mos so it is nice that I am able to drive the Mini and realize how important it is to be alive, and be able to drive a car that we want to drive and etc....

Kind of glad I'm not the only one between D and E! I changed jobs a couple years ago and instead of retiring in a couple more years, I decided to work about six more and buy a sports car I'm using some of the retirement my previous employer put in to buy my MINI! I think that's just poetic justice! The wife and I both love our jobs, and what would we do if we retired, anyway? Just have a stroke or coronary and blow it all on hospital bills!?! No Way!! We're gonna have fun while we can and still be productive.

I'd like to see you multiple choice suggestions! Life does have a darker side, and many shades of color.

Alright. . . between C and D. One kid left at home . . . time with the other two kids means road trips! Drove the Mini to Philadelphia for one in May . . . will drive back from Alaska with another via AutoExpo in Fortuna, CA, in July. I must say though, the Alright, Alright of C is not very descriptive of my situation . . . .

Was in C when I got my first MINI, but now I'm in D w/ my second. I needed a commuter car for myself and was tired of "not caring" about the cars I drive since they were so blah. I mean, I was paying good money for these cars...I wanted more for my money!!! Then the New MINI showed up....economical (I got a Cooper), great handling, and practical (a back seat). I had had a Spitfire back in the mid-seventies...that set the standard in my mind...and finally here was a modern car (and a MINI no less) that was equally fun/engaging to motor in. So now the kids are gone-ish and the first MINI has made me want nothing less. My daughter got the first MINI ('03, 50K miles now) and I got another!!!
