Hello all, new MINI decisions

I am in the process of deciding which Mini to get and I have found this forum very helpful. Thanks to all who have posted. I started with the intention of getting a convertible but I like the interior and specs on the 2nd gen cars so I am now leaning towards a S hardtop. I have two dealers in the area (Houston) Momentum Mini and Mini of the Woodlands. I would be interested in any reviews of the customer service provided at either dealership. I am waiting for the JCW stage 1 upgrade and audio (HD/Sirius) package to become available before ordering my Mini.

Welcome to NAM Mumbles!! I live in central Ga. so I can't give you any insight on your Dealers. Hang in there as I understand the wait can be kind of stressful.

I've always heard very good things about MINI of the Woodlands.

By then, the 2nd generation convetible may be out. I was told those would be available in March. Then it became the end of June without a doubt. Now?????

gokartride,
Thanks for the input gokartride. I am leaning towards buying from the Woodlands dealer.

LynnEl,
I am expecting the 2nd gen convertible to be available late in 08 as an 09 model. I don't want to wait that long. I am hopeful the performance upgrade kit will be available this month or next at the latest. I am thinking that the performance upgrade kit won't be a showstopper sense that will be a dealer installed item anyway.

I have seen some posts that Mini of the Woodlands is taking orders now with the hd audio package. One other factor delaying my purchase is I must sell three motorcycles to cover my down payment. They are going in the paper this week and with any luck I will order my Mini before the end of July.
