Hello. My name is David. I currently drive my beloved BMW 328iS but my GF is talking about getting a MINI. Being the car enthusiast (and forum fiend) that I am, I decided to get in here and do some homework/research so I know what we will be getting beforehand.

I live in the South Bay (Santa Monica Bay) area of Southern CA, and really enjoy the area. Plenty of fun cars to drool over too.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. I'll be around here asking questions and drooling over the nicely modded MINIs here.

Feel free to ask any questions if you have them.

Oh.. and I seem to be quickly falling into an addiction to MINIs. Uh oh... :impatient

Lots of folks in your area are into MINIs in a big way. I think some of the local 'MA' motoring advisiors from the SoCal. MINI dealers are on NAM, too.

You should take some test drives, look at all the color options and get your girlfriend and yourself new MINIs, it is an addiction.

Thanks. Yeah I have seen plenty of nice MINIs around here. I might have to stop by a dealer sometime to test one out for myself.. Ive ridden.. but I've never actually driven one yet.

 

A 2-MINI household is the way to go! We have several in our club.

And I love that all the same aftermarket companies that I have been looking at for BMW parts also do MINIs. I wont feel like I've just jumped into a whole different boat.

 

2-MINI family here with a soon-to-be 16 y/o son already shopping for his dream MINI. We have to sell our 2006 Honda Pilot 4x4 first though...there's just no real estate for 4 vehicles.

Batgirl is a 2-MINI family also.

It definitely cuts out the "who's going to drive on this run" friendly debates. We take both MINIs most places we go.

 

Nice.. That sounds like a lot of fun. Now you all have me imagining that..

I will have to stop by sometime.. The dealership is right down the street (190th) a few minutes from where I live. I used to drive by and stare at the BMW's there.. You are still on Hawthorne right?

I definitely need to test drive one and see if I truly like them. Im still in my research stage, so Im in no way able to purchase right now.. () but I would still like to check out my options and see the dealership there. Thanks.
