I finally got one!
Hello Everyone.
1st I want to say this is a great forum.
I've been on it now for about a month using it for research to determine what people are experiencing with their mini's in order to justify my purchase of a new vehicle. I'd narrowed my decision down to an Audi s4 or the Mini. I love driving both cars so it was a tough decision.
It seems everyone's overall experience with their car and the Mini dealers has been positive ...which confirmed my decision to purchase one.
SO>>>
I Just bought an '02 MCS with the JCW package. Had a great experience buying it at Ralph Schomp here in Denver. The dealership has owned it since it was new and only had 6k miles on it so I feel that i'm basically driving a new car!
Looking forward to many, many miles of motoring happiness and seeing everyone else in my mirrors.

Beautiful car! Congrats on the purchase! So why did the dealership have the car for all this time??? Weird.
Anyway its a little known secret that although the red cars look like they are going faster, and get pulled over and ticketed more often, it is actually the blue cars that are faster. We just get away with it!!!
Welcome to NAM!!!

The dealerships wife was the driver and they said it basically sat in storage for several years as well.
I was ok with it and since all the work on the vehicle was done there the service records were all complete.
They printed me a copy of all the work done, which was fairly extensive but no surprising issues were found from my inital reading.
Everything done on the vehicle I was already aware of through my research on NAM.
Yeah my sister was giving me crap saying my car was "Arrest-Me-Red" but i quickly dispelled that notion and told her it was Chili Red so it doesn't go as fast as the Arrest-Me-red.
