i went through princeton, it is closest to me being in lower bucks county. any idea when they are going to be shipped, i assume our minis are all going to the same port. nice to see another pa week 34 mini as well.

 

just called askmini. computer dude said est. completion is 8/24, live dude said it's in the body shop. When I asked him if it would be done by 8/24 (fri), he said 'hmmmm ... maybe'. I get the feeling I'm going to slip to week 35.

 

i thought your production week was the week they started production, not finished

 

Excellent! I'm another Sparkling Silver (white roof/mirrors) also assigned an original complete date of 8/28. i assume they do color runs in the paint shop so maybe mine will get bumped up to the 23rd too! perhaps we will make that boat on the 27th! considering ASK-MINI originally told me mine wouldnt go into production until first week of sept, i am pleased as punch! better start cleaning out the garage.

AFAIK, your production week is based upon the actual completion date (i.e. the date that the car is actually assembled/built). Not the starting date.

 

Hi Everyone. Thought I'd make my first post here, as I'm in the same boat (hopefully) as you are.

Ordered my MCa on 8/16 after a 3d test drive. Was a sort of spur of the moment order (I had "built" several on the miniusa site, so I knew what I was looking for) but didn't bring anything to put a deposit down. When I called on the 17th to make the deposit, my MA already had placed my order and had a production # for me! He first told me I could be a week 36, but was bumped to week 34 as I only ordered a minimallist (sp?) MINI.

ASK-MINI tells me I'm in the bodyshop and will be completed on the 23rd!

Thanks to everyone for all the info, both in this post and elsewhere in these forums. It'll come in handy waiting these next few weeks.

Hey all, I have been gone a couple of days but my Mini was completed on the 21st and enrt to the port. Hopefully I will be departing on a ship leaving on the 24th but more than likely my Mini won't be leaving for the east coast until the 1st of Sept. Then once it has to made the journey to the VDC at SC it's off to St. Louis to my dealer so I can pick it up!!! Has anyone been able to find their shipping info on the WW website?

 

I am also a week 34 waiter. My MINI is in the body shop with est completion of 8/24. CR/CR with almost everything cept nav. Original order date of 8/8/07 at Baron in KC.

 

Ordered 8/13. Computer ASK MINI says in the paint shop and scheduled for completion today! Headed for NJ. Hopefully someone here will figure out the boat thing for Week 34 going to NY/NJ port.

 

The OL shows all my options except for my black lounge leather, which should be factory installed. I mentioned this to my MA, and he assured me it was in the order, and emailed me a PDF of a 'production sheet', listing all my options with MSRP and my production #.

 

Same thing for my car. Options are all there except the lounge leather. My production sheet has it as well so I wouldn't worry.

 

Mine too. Emailed MA; no response. Called ASK-MINI; they said they can't 'see' upholstery options, but said they'd confirm with someone. I figure they have to put SOME kind of upholstery and they'd try to find out what you ordered if they didn't know. Yes? Hopefully. I don't want a naked MINI.

Does anyone know when the production week begins or ends? My completion date is Saturday, Aug 25 so I don't know if I'm week 34 or 35. I suppose it's a moot point.

 

car status is "at docks waiting transport" WOOT!

 

Looks like you passed me up... ASK MINI changed for me today to saying "Vehicle has been released to carrier and is waiting transportation to port of exit". Thus, it looks like you're at the dock and I'm still waiting for my train ride there.

 

I am in the same situation you are!!! My car is going to SC and the next two ships leave on the 25th and 31st, I would like to be on the 25th ship but more than likely will be on the 31st

 

How does one find out schedules for departing ships before you know which one you'll be on? Specifically, I'm interested in ones bound for west coast.

 

If you go to the Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics website and look under Customer Centre and click on schedules it will bring you to a page. Then click on Search by Trade Route. It will bring up a map, and if you click on the U.K. it will bring up more options, click on Europe to North America Outbound ....It will then bring up a PDF file and you can look under the port of entry for your mini and it will tell you an arrival date, you can then follow the column up to the port of exit (Southhampton) and it will tell you a departure date for that particular route. That is the way that I have found out and assume it is correct. My VIN is still not showing up so once it does I will compare the dates.

 

You kidding me?! NOOOOO!!! This wait is getting worse and worse. I should just stop checking so I can be surprised when I get a call "your car is sitting here... please take it from us"

 

Thanks cougar! I guess I'm interested in Port Hueneme bound ships. Looks like the next one will be the Medea, departing 8/27, arriving 9/17. If I miss that, I guess I'll be on the Topeka (departs 9/3).

I now have an ASK MINI message of "released to carrier; awaiting transport to port".....I'm sitting in a lot somewhere?

My Mini was updated today with "in the paint shop" status. Supposed to be completed tomorrow. I guess it doesn't take them very long to put it together once it's painted.

I hope I'm NOT on a Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics ship! Next ship into the port on the west coast is Sep 17th. Hopefully some other company will have it here sooner.
