No I always feel bad for talking to them, as if they had nothing better to do than to tell me where my car is. lol. I am getting antsy though.. or rather worried since we need the car already, so I might try it tomorrow.
I still don't get any tracking on the WW site though, so... we'll see i guess.

Live ASKMINI has told me that once the car is released en route to the carrier, they don't have access to any infomation until it hits the VDC. When it does, the system will update. They have encouraged me to contact my MA who will hopefully be able to get me the ship name and the BILL OF LADING. If we get the bill of lading we will be able to track it online. The good news, if this is true, our cars may be stateside in the next couple of days.
IF you find anything out from your MA, post it here and I will do the same!

Mataku, Hazmat, et. al. I'm in the same "boat" with you. My car was completed on the 23rd and has been sitting at port ever since. It's been frustrating seeing other MINI's built around the same time setting sail while I'm waiting in port!
However, I just got an e-mail from my MA with the name of my ship, the FRANCONIA! Which explains why nothing is showing up on the WW site (all those hours of typing in my VIN for nothing!) A little GOOGLE searching later I discover that this ship is a Carolina Shipping Line due into SC on the 13th, although I do not know when it sets sail. Unfortunately there's not a lot of info online about this shipping Co.
Bottom line, contact your MA and bug them to get the name of the ship for you at the very least!
This may not help you HAZMAT, not sure they'd ship you to SC if you're in Baltimore when other ships go directly to Baltimore.

And to further my frustration - after saying "awaiting transport" for 9 days, yesterday the recorded message at ASKIMINI finally said "In transport'..
And today it says "Awaiting transport" again. ACK!
The friendly customer service rep didn't seem know what that was about but said he thought it was probably just sitting in line waiting to be loaded on the boat. Meanwhile, my MA is off until Thursday, but last week he said to call then and he was sure he'd know more. I'll post here as soon as I know anything....

Both the K-Line and NYK lines are a pain to make sense of their schedules, they need to take lessons from the WW lines. Not that WW lines don't have faults, but in general a lot more user friendly.

UGH. Finally heard back from my dealership today and according to their reports, mine still hasn't shipped. It shows completed on the 24th though arrived at port only today. I think the next ship is the Liberty leaving for NY on Friday. Guess I will know soon enough. Wonder what slowed it down......

I read in an earlier thread that an asterisk may mean that VIN is waitlisted for some reason. Hope you make the Topeka!

Congrats! Send an email to the Sales Manager at your dealership if you don't hear back from your MA (mine was listed on their website) requesting the ship name. I hadn't heard back from my MA but when I wrote the Manager I heard back from both in record time! They apparently get a printout with status reports, he emailed me mine which told me that my car arrived at port yesterday. I havent had much luck getting any useful info from ASKMINI, live or automated. Keep us posted!

I have found that if you go and track your VIN and then click on the booking number it will tell you the scheduled stops for that ship and it looks like they still have the original times on there for stops. So unfortunatley I don't think they are running ahead of schedule. Also for those whose Mini is getting off the boat in SC like mine, I looked at the Port of Charleston and it also shows the Freedom unloading on the 9th even though it arrives there on the 8th...

For any of Week 34 holdouts that are finally booked out on the LIBERTY that heads out tomorrow (9/7), a new thread:
https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=113124
Looks like all these threads have moved to 1st Gear. Apparently we can't sit at the grown-up table just yet! SOON though!

Coupe Talk (for either generation) should not be a "dumping ground" for absolutely any thread remotely related. Otherwise it gets out of hand!
Think about it - 1st Gear is for new NAM members and people still waiting to recieve theirs. The comraderie with others like you, who are also still waiting, is served very well in the 1st Gear forum.

Since we're getting close. I wanted to see how many of us already have parts waiting to be put on their MINI as soon as they get it.
Here's what I have planned:
-Osram diadem bulbs for turn signals back and frotn
-Phillips bluevision for top 1/3 of fog light
-black out side vent
-remove S on boot
-GoMINIGo glovebox tidy
-No holes front license plate mount (of course wait for front plates first)
I want to do CAI, but a bit too expensive. And thinking blackout belt line and possibly grill, but haven't plan for those yet.

What's in the bottom 2/3 of the fog light? I didn't notice they were split.
I am getting the glovebox shelf from the dealer, the window shade, and mud flaps. First real mod will be a radiator bug guard.
A no holes front plate mount also. However I'll probably wait til the registration is due before I install the plates (year). My dealer agreed to not mount the front plate holder, so there won't be any holes in the front bumper (CA law requires a front plate).
I may consider blacking out the chrome bits; don't really like chrome on cars.
