Good day, all
Hello all, my first post on these boards here so... hello!
Got some good news that my production number on MINIUSA finally matched up with the correct color of my car so I can create a profile on the owners lounge and eventually track it after it is 'born'. I ordered it 8/18/07 and cant wait until it makes its way out here!
the specs are as follows:
2007 Cooper S
DS/B no stripes
Sport pkg - Web spokes
Hyper sport pkg - my one splurge
Rear fog lamps
White turn signals - i guess another splurge but whose counting?
LSD
DSC
piano black interior
haven't thought of a name yet, not sure if I will, just can't wait to climb in that drivers seat and take it for a spin though!

I've got a question for you owners out there: what does everyone's key look like? the car that i test drove had the optioinal feature of unlocking the car w/in XX feet which is something I did not get, so here is my question: will my key look like the one on the test driven vehicle which had the actual metal portion of the key embeded into the large plastic round part, or will it look like the key I saw when I logged onto the OL page. The key on there is different in that the metal part is exposed and protruding from the large round plastic part.
Thanks

You won't use the metal part, unless the electronics fail and you need to get inside the car. Without the comfort access option, which is what allows you to just push the black button on the door to enter the car, you would push the unlock button on the fob.
Inside, the rounded part of the fob is placed in a slot on the dash in order to activate the push start. Again, you won't use the metal part of the key for that operation. The fob clicks into the slot and you then push forward on the fob to release it and it pulls out.
Congratulations on your choice and welcome to NAM.

Welcome to NAM!!!
Congrats on your ordering a Mini!!! Your option choices sound like you're going to have a nice set up Mini there.
The waiting for your car goes just a little faster if you take some time to enjoy the eye candy here on NAM. Eye Candy would be pics of other Mini owners cars. It will give you many ideas on future splurges.
