I talked to my MA. Since my MINI is getting the JCW Aero Kit, he's saying it will be at least the 9th before my car gets to MINI of St. Louis. Then a couple days for the JCW Stage 1 and maybe suspension if they can get it by then.

I'm not sure if I'm on that ship (i know i'm not on a WW ship...) but I talked w/ my MA yesterday and he said that my car was already on its way to the dealer... he expects it to be ready for pickup mid-late next week.

for reference, my mini was ordered on Aug 6, born supposedly on 8/13 (but i suspect earlier), and was shipped... well i dont know exactly when but sometime after that.

anyway, just an update!! cant wait!!

 

Anyone have any updates on cars from this ship? Has anyone had any feedback from their MAs?

 

The OL says it's at the VDC with a delivery date of 9/4 (today) but my MA says it should be here sometime this week.

I'm still not positive I was on that ship but if I was... my MA just called and said the car is at the dealer and will be ready for pickup tomorrow after lunch!!!

 

Man that would be fast. I was told not to expect the VDC to be operating over the weekend... and therefore my car would be later this week. Im only about 200 mi from the VDC so... it's killing me!

 

My MA says that it is on a truck and I should plan on tomorrow!

 

ragiepew and jw34... any updates? I'm about to call my MA in 1/2 hour to ask. Gotta break the seal. It has been a tough couple days not knowing.

I called yesterday afternoon and my MA was out for the day. Someone else checked with the manager who said it was on a truck but had no idea when it would arrive. Definitely phone your MA.

 

hmmm... mine only has to make it to N. Carolina. I guess if it isnt there then either it needed VDC work? hope not.

 

I went to the dealership yesterday and saw the car... it is indeed there and looking good! It wasn't ready to take delivery but I'm scheduled to do that this afternoon.

Good luck and I would definetly call your MA and find out... or better yet, just how up if its not too out of the way.

 

For me... i have to drive 250 miles or id be there (if it were only 200 miles)

 

Quick update... I picked the car up last night from the dealer and I must say, she's a blast to drive... even with the breakin period just starting. Anyway, i'll post pics later but wanted to give an update first.

The only bummer is that its the wifey's car so I'm not driving it right now

 

Good to hear. So did you notice the 08 features like others have been reporting??

I pick mine up tomorrow at noon. I'll let everyone know if it has em.

 

the only 08 feature I looked for so far is the USB but I dont have it... i think it could be because I didn't get the bluetooth which I hear is a pre-requisite for the USB.
