After deciding to order a new MINI instead of buying one from the lot after mine was damaged beyond repair
I wanted to get the following interior setup:
Leatherette
Piano Black
Cream white
Anthracite headliner.

Now today my MA calls me and tells me that I cant have Cream White. He gives me some reason that because of some reason or another they cant use the cream white colorline with my particular setup.
Can anyone comfirm this? is it because I dont have the Leather seats? I have seen pictures on here of that exact interior setup only with the black leather seats and i think it looks awesome and thats what I wanted. Can anyone shed some light here?

Like I said before, call another Mini Dealer - if for nothing else to confirm... Call Blair at EB - tell him the Turlock Fire Fighter said to call - tell him your story - He really is a good guy and can tell you the truth -

I just went to Miniusa and configured it - no problem, unless you MA has some special knowledge we don't have....

 

Seems odd...I'd double-check on this. It sure doesn't appear that you are spec'cing any odd combo that would prohibit addition of the white colorline. Don't take "no" for an answer unless you have checked and double-checked this. I'd call 866-ASK-MINI, too. MAs do get things wrong now and again.

I sent a forum member here (Guy ) he only talked to Blair - in one call, he got the Mini he wanted AND a production number - that Mini started the build within two days.... and this took place last week.... He is in week 42 build... check out his posts...

 

I just built your specs online, build your Mini online, print it out, take it to your MA and request him to order it.
Trying another dealer as Michael suggested could be a bit of an issue sine you are re-ordering, but if your MA will
not order what you want, then trying another dealer would be one option.

While I was at the dealer yesterday we configured it and it did allow us to get the exact configuration, we printed it out and everything. but then the next thing I hear is that it wont work. He kinda gave me some BS answer like "oh its happend before, maybe because you have the dark headliner"
I will call that other dealer tomorow night and get a second opinion

 

That sounds like nonsense as I ordered almost the same thing last month and its now on a ship headed this way.

Leatherette
English Oak
Cream white
Anthracite headliner


The Oak comes with Piano black trim on the doors, so it's even more complicated, hah.

 

well i called East Bay mini as suggested by harley but blair wasnt there. I then called another local dealer here in LA area and a nice girl (who reads these forums ) configured my car on her configutor that they use to acctually put in the order and it came up with no problems.
I just called for my MA and hes not in, but another gentleman is gunna try to get an answer for me tonight.

 

As typical of first production runs it was delayed 3 weeks, so suppose to arrive this week. We shall see if it makes it, after waiting since February a few more weeks is not a biggy.

 

Update:
Good news! After another MA at my dealer passed the mesage along to my MA (since mine was gone) I have now learned that their system must have been acting "goofy" that day when he tried to input my order ....

anyways now I am getting the interior that I wanted:
Leatherette
Piano Black
Cream white
Anthracite headliner.


2 months and counting. Thanks for everyones input, especially those people with piano black and cream white for posting pictures elsewhere on NAM of your interiors to inspire me!
