I am pissed. Just found out from my MA that my car got some "minor" scratches near the gas cap at the port and is going in to get repaired today. Managed to get some free mats out of the ordeal, but this sucks. No ETA as of yet, even though the boat docked 10 days ago.

Got this email from MA this evening 12/26/07 after I sent a email asking for news.
Hi Tom,
Your MINI is on it's way. It docked in South Carolina yesterday. It hasn't been unloaded yet, but I am confident we should see it arrive in about a week!
Have no clue then as to which boat it was on. Guess it doesn't matter...

According to the port schedule, the Western left the dock during the early hours of the 24th. Weren't you thinking your car was on the Western?
I called my MA today, and he apparently was a little busy. He said he expected my car in by this weekend, but he hadn't actually checked on its status in a while. He was to call me back on an update. That didn't happen. I believe he's still going on the Frisia's original EDA of the 20th. Because it actually didn't arrive until the 23rd, I suspect the dealership should get the car toward the end of next week. That is assuming it gets through the VDC quickly. Is it just me, or does there seem to be a wide range of time frames it takes a car to get through that stage of the delivery process? I've read of lengths from one day to several weeks.

Well, yeah I thought it might be on the Western. MA says it hasn't been unloaded yet. Maybe it's sitting on the dock waiting for a ride to the VDC.
One or two days at VDC is the norm, I believe. Only if you have accessories to be added or some sort of damage to be repair should it take longer than that. They even work weekends if there are a number of ordered vehicles to process.
So, you saw the Western on the port schedule as docked on the 24th? I never did see that.

My MA called me today to say that my Mini has arrived, but it won't be ready until Monday. So Monday it is, I guess.
I hope you 49ers getting your Mini's today have a great experience. Let us know if you have any tips from the process...or things to look out for.
I'm curious if you have the auto-up windows or USB connection.
Good luck, and have a great time!
