3 weeks on the boat. Mine just docked yesterday.

you can click on a ship and it'll tell you what's up, and then I cross checked with the southampton dock "shipping movements" schedule http://www.southamptonvts.co.uk/shipping_movments.asp and it said that it was scheduled to move at such and such time from dock x to dock x. A little late for the info now for those of us on the Freedom but whoever's on the next boat might be able to use it. Sometimes having too much infomation sucks also. I've gotten pretty OCD about tracking the stupid boat.

teachinkids, I'm guessing you didn't make the FREEDOM? According to the booking number, several cars that were supposed to be on it were not loaded. I don't know if that's actually the case or the WW site hasn't updated yet. I think there are ships every 2-3 days so I wouldn't worry about it. The FREEDOM was delayed by 1 day and actually left today.

One thing to remember about sailwx.info: it is essentially the ships reporting the oceanic weather conditions for their positions at that time. So the reason you can track them at all is because the captains radio in their position and the weather. If they aren't out to sea, they don't do it, because the weather just off the coast is readily observable and reported by many others.

Ok, my MA hasn't been helpful in assisting me on this. Is there anyone out there who can tell me why my car is still listed as "awaiting transport?" It has been at the dock since the 4th. I realize it could be on a K-Line vessel, but my MA didn't really seem to know what I was talking about when I mentioned that possibility. My VIN is WMWMF33528TU63855 if that helps anyone.
Every thing went quickly and smoothly until the car arrived at the port. In my strongly felt opinion, if MINI is going to let you track your vehicle, they should fix whatever problems exist in tracking certain shipping companies if that is the case. If my car is still at Southampton having been passed up by later built vehicles, I'll be very hard pressed to get a satisfactory explanation. With all this said, it is probably halfway across the Atlantic. Is there anyone who can confirm that? I'm still not sure why it wouldn't show "en route" regardless of which shipping company took the car. If you believe in luck, this certainly seems to be one of those unlucky situations!

plasmodesmata, my car was also completed on 12/4, but didn't ship until this past Saturday. It is possible that your car is still waiting for a K-Line ship or already got on one. Did you see that thread I pasted for you earlier on? That guy was on a K-Line and seemed to be able to get info about it somehow.

Plasmo, check the k-line schedule http://www.kline.com/KAMCarCarrier/S...g_Schedule.pdf
With a little luck you might be on Frisia. If your vin doesn't show up on WW site most likely on K-line
My mini finished prod. Dec. 6.Got to the port on the 8th,too late for Freedom as vin won't show anything on WW site.
Guessing I'll be on Western Highway on the 14th.

Acebutt, thanks for that schedule! The schedule of the Frisia does fit the route that would be needed. My dealer usually receives cars through the Charleston port.
Russr, I looked for K-Line information, but found little help in verifying a car's placement on a certain vessel. I'll make a post later today on the forum to see if anyone has been successful in finding such info on K-Line bound cars. K-Line really is the only explanation I can think of at this point. Thanks for all the help!

As far as I know, the best way to tell if your Mini is on K-Line is if your MA can tell you when your car is expected to arrive at VDC.From there you look at K-Line schedule and guess which ship it might be on. That's how it worked out for me last time. E-mailed my MA today though, and she was NO help at all. Told me to try calling ask-mini.
Had already done that. They claimed to know nothing once it leaves the factory and heads to port.
Did find out @ ask mini:
Production Week 49
Start Build 11/30
Finish 12/6
@ port 12/8

Owner's Lounge will stay at 'awaiting transport' until after ocean crossing then will switch to 'en route to VDC'
