answer

for those of you who may not be able to get around the site to well i retrieved the answer.

To reset the service interval indicator:

1. push trip button
2. turn ignition key to position 1 and "15A" will appear to left of mileage
3. release trip button and wait 3 seconds
4. push trip button and wait (5 - 8 seconds) for "RST" to appear in left corner
5. release trip button
6. push trip button
7. "15000" [or kilometer equivalent] will appear as new service interval
8. release trip button
9. The miles [or kilometers] until next service will now count down from the reset interval.

i've been told it may be slightly different for different years but you should be able to figure it out with a little extra effort.
