This was going to leave on 3/10 but has been changed to 3/11 on WW and Southhampton ports' sites. Still showing Charleston 3/23

and WW recently changed their depart date to 3/11 and its shown as 3/11 PM on Southampton ports site. I assume the discrepancies are 'cause its gonna arrive late at night on the 22nd, or wee hours of the morning on the 23rd, but I'll change the title since WW shows 22nd. Thanks!

 

I know we've corresponded on NAM before. Were you at the Hendrick Clubman Launch party? If so, I was there with my son, Paul (McLuvin).

MiniRee, I was at Hendrick's clubman launch. Test drove 2 and oredered mine the next week. Now, just axiously waiting! After it reaches port, it goes to Greer for about a week, right, and then to the dealer?

 

I think I'm with you.... everything says I'm "EN ROUTE" but the WW site that still has the same status... is there somewhere that shows the VIN Numbers that are on each ship?

 

I tried changing the title but it doesn't work on the list of threads...sorry folks, it is gonna say 3/23 no matter when our ship arrives in Charleston!

Size: I thought it was one of your posts that showed me how to look up that list of VINs by voyage number, that's the only way I know to do it. If you got moved to a K-Line ship though, there's no way to tell online... although I remember reading someone on NAM found out which K-line ship they were on from their MA.

Edit: forgot to add, now the Courage shows up as departing 3/11 AM instead of PM, this site is constantly changing, perfect for OCD ship-trackers such as myself:

Supposed to be in week 12 production, but the dealer told me today that production is scheduled to start in the next day or 2, so I may be late week 11?

Will need some tracking pointers when my baby hits the water ... Are you tracking everything by VIN?

 

I know you're excited! It's difficult to explain to "outsiders" how much I LOVE Ramona. Paul is pacing, too...

The VDC is in Charleston, although some cars go to another one somewhat inland. Most times that I know about, you're only at the VDC a day or two unless you have a lot of things being installed. Then, onto a transport and delivered to Hendrick within a day or two. You can check my sig line for Ramona's timeline.

You use the VIN to hopefully find what ship your mini is on. After the Owners Lounge or ASK-MINI says your mini is at the port awaiting transport, go to this site: http://schedule.2wglobal.com click on Track Cargo, then Auto Cargo - enter the VIN there, if you are booked on a WW voyage you will get your ship name from there. It can take a week or two at the port before you get a booking. If it never seems to happen, you might be on another carrier...only WW has the online info but you still might be able to get the ship name from your MA. Once you get the name, post it on here and someone will help you start tracking the ship. Not all the ships report their locations that often, but it is fun to try and something to pass the time while waiting to drive your mini.

 

Check the First Gear Forum stickies for a wealth of info on tracking or you can go back and read almost any "Production Week XX" thread. I'll be happy to help you any way I can, too.

Edit: Update - WW site now shows it arriving in Charleston on 3/23, Departing Charleston on 3/24. Perhaps departure was delayed due to the storm in the UK?

Edit: forgot to post the downer here since I posted it on Week 10: last night the WW site started showing COURAGE arriving in Charleston on 3/25...make up your minds already!!! J/K..I bet its due to the storm. Better to be late than damaged in shipping I say! At least they had better not be damaged! Dunno what I would do then!
