Wow! I'm so excited for you guys! Got all your stuff ready? RJ, I saw your post on the detailing products. We're definitely on the same wave length! I've got my list ready for next payday! Going with the Prima products ...
It's like nesting during pregnancy, isn't it (didn't I read that on a similar post)? Fits, tho. The only thing missing is pickle cravings!
Whenever I talk about the "baby," my husband looks at me like my hair's on fire. Well, we'll see if he reacts the same way once it's here and he drives it. Crazy woman won't be so crazy then .... I'll probably have to pry the keys out of his dead, lifeless hand.

I'll second the pregnancy idea! heheh. (She says as her 4 month old kicks the laptop... (At least I can get him to mimic me and say VROOM VROOM for the MINI!)
Still working out some pre-delivery stuff with the dealer. Then hopefully start talking about a date. Since I'm 3+ hours from the dealership and hubby will have to drive the other car home, going to have to be on a weekend. Here's hoping sooner than later.

Yes. Sooner IS better!
I'm not that far away, but, yes, I'm trying to figure out things the dealer needs to do 1st visit, and things I can wait on for another time. I'm about 1 1/2 hrs. away ... Also, some small mods I'm finding I will try to do myself. Will save me the trip and the $. Other stuff, I just need to spend time with the car to figure out if it's something I really want. I keep a "wish list" and modify it as needed.
Hey! A ready-made Christmas list ... I like it!

Ahhh...so it sounds like we are ALL Nesting. Got Hubby on a Weekend Project to get the Floor of the Garage ready for Molly to come home. I'm NOT able to get to my all ready abundant Detailing Stuff Shelving, so that is Priority #1. Looks like a Nasty, Rainy Weekend here in the PNW, so it will be a Good Weekend for those Garage Projects. Will be ordering more Organizing and Detailing Stuff tonight as well.
Ivygirl702 looks like you'll be the 1st one to get yours so WE demand Pics. ASAP!!! It will save us from having to track you down!!!

Oh BTW Molly's Floor Mats came in on Friday, they look GREAT!! Once Molly gets home I will be sure and post pics. of her wearing them. Last night I ordered the Center Console Tray, Center Console Organizer, and Glovebox Organizer. Just need a few more Detailing Supplies, then I'll be done, maybe??!!

Well, I just checked the WW site and they haven't updated. I called Ask Mini and she said after the car gets put on the vessel, they don't track it at all.
I'm in class for the rest of the night, with a break at 7pm-ish. I'll have to check back then. Hopefully, there will be some good news!!
RJK -- Thanks for the suggestion of Detailers Paradise for the products. I looked it over and will definitely be buying some things there!!

I thought about having the windows done, but that's a call I'll make later down the road. (Even if I am 20 miles from Mexico.. and heading into summer...) I'll either find a local shop or go back to the dealer. And for the sunroof, once I pick a graphic, that won't be an issue anymore. But I just can't decide!
Right now, I've got a pile started just waiting on the MINI-- my "actual size" sticker, my 4 inch stubby antenna, driver's edge stripes should be arriving from AC shortly-- (for $25 in the clearance section, I'll try putting them on myself.. if I fail miserably, I won't be heartbroken.. but I'm a "crafty" gal-- I put pinstripes on my 68 mustang in college, so I think I can do these), and motoring badges and holder should be on the way shortly as well. I got some cheapie window screens so the little one doesn't get too much of a glare there in the back.
And I'll probably just cut down some Wally-world sun shades for the sunroof for the trip home. Not 100% sure if the little one will be with me or with his daddy that trip, but we'll see. (Oh, and I did order my son a "mini pooper" t-shirt for the trip to the dealer too! heheh)
I am just SOOO over waiting. I want my car!!! hehehhe

I'm starting to think that my MA is crazy for saying we are going to get Lucy this weekend. Tigermann is closer to the VDC than I am...
Just wondering if anyone's car status has been updated. For me, the OL still says that she's "In Transit" and Ask Mini says that she's "at the port, awaiting a shipping vessel".
I think it's worse knowing she's only 90 minutes away from me and I can't have her!!

I got called by Long Beach on Friday, to remind me the car was almost here. I told them "I know. Gets in to port on the 7th." to which I got, "Oh, you're one of those." *chuckles*
When I asked them then how long it takes, they said "Usually 7-10 days after it hits port [before they get the car." That'd put it mid next week.
I'm hoping that was a "This'll cover my *** and you won't get mad at me like you would if I said four days and it happened to take five."
The one thing I'm figuring in though is they likely try and minimize how much they send empty transporters around the place. So, even if mine clears all checks at the VDC in hours, I figure they're unlikely to load it up on its own and so I'll be stuck waiting on whichever other car needs the most work at the VDC that's also going to Long Beach. If someone's roof got crushed on the ship (seen pictures, it's messy) or whatever, that could potentially add a few days.
So, with luck, especially as I have no dealer add ons for them to take time over after delivery, I'm hoping this weekend will work out but I'm not holding my breath.
If not, I'm planning on ditching early whichever day it comes, jumping the train from San Diego to Anaheim, having a friend who lives by the dealership pick me up from the station and take me over, then get it there and then.
At which point, I'll be the guy muttering about "twelvehundredstupidmiles" under my breath.
