I'll be pickin' mine up on Wednesday at 1:15. Could have got it earlier but I got a few projects at work that I can't abandon. I'm going by the lot tonight though to check it out as I'm dying to see it. Will take a few pics and upload tonight. Finally!!!!!!!

First Look
Scheduled my delivery for my new Mini on Wednesday 4/30/08 at 1:15 p.m. but I stopped by the dealer at 9:30 this evening after work and after walking the entire length of the lot found my baby parked under a nice shade tree with only a BMW behind it. Although it's been there since Friday it hasn't really been touched as it's in need of a serious spa day. Of course I had to whip out the ol' digicam and snap away. Pics posted in my gallery.

Finally Home
Just got home from picking up my SS/SS Mini from Mini of Concord. This is one awesome little car. M of C is only 7 miles from my home and I smiled the whole way home. This was Also the best new car buying experience I"ve had (and I've had a few). When I got to the dealer for my 1:15 appointment, my freshly detailed shiny new little car was waiting for me on the showroom floor (locked of course). It was backed in and pointed towards the door. After handing over my check and signing the paperwork, my MA Mari took me to service and the parts dept then went over the entire car with me. She then took a pic of me driving off the showroom floor. That was the first time ever I've paid MSRP for a new vehicle and didn't mind at all. The nice thing was that there were no hidden fees. Just CA sales tax and license fees. Also received a couple of nice Mini key rings a pen and a M of C T-shirt. All in all, the 8 week wait was more than worth it now that I have my car. Having NAM to peruse everyday during the wait also helped. Okay, time to go motoring .

Picked up my Mini last night! Unfortunately 10 minutes after leaving the dealreship I got a wicked migraine - my first in like 5 years, made the drive home miserable...ugh. But I'll make up for it tonight once I get home. Congrats everybody and hang in there for all who have yet to pick up!

Hey "A", you get your Coop yet? I can't believe it would take this long for some driving lamps . Something bout that don't seem right. You are seriously missing out dude. These bad boys are awesome little cars. Yow will be really happy once you get it. Your dealer needs to throw in some freebies big time or at least take some money off your car though for agonizing wait.

Any updates from folks whose Minis sailed the Madame Butterfly back in April 08?
As for me, I just turned 9,000 miles on my MCa SS/SS beauty. It is my daily driver on my 60 mile round trip commute. The onboard computer should be telling me it's time for the first service soon. Don't plan on doing any performance or exterior cosmetic mods but I did add a few nice accessories such as the lighted door sills, the JCW side scuttles, and the portable navigation system, and the accessory cradle that holds my razor phone. I also received one of the bad shifters that plagued March produced cars and had my automatic shifter mechanism replaced under warranty. My dealer was great and didn't give me any hassle about the shifter replacement. Tranny has been rock solid since the replacement. This car seems to get better the more miles it racks up. Mileage has definitely improved. Looking forward to the first oil change. So far no squeaks, rattles or loose trim pieces. Leatherette interior seems to be holding up well. Love the built in bluetooth and USB/iPod. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. Having driven family vehicles for the last 10 years, my Mini has definitely put the fun back into driving again. Plan to keep this one until it dies.
