Forgot to check in - NW Ohio
Hi, been looking at the forum for about a year now and finally bought an 07 S Dark Silver. Its my wifes car and first mini. We bought it from a member here in MI -velocimini. The car was basically new and well cared for, thanks Johannes!
Thought we should say hello and see if anyone is from NW Ohio area?

GemsCoop - I went out of Pittsburgh
First because I read a lot of great things about them on the net, and this site. Then the fact the dealership is closer then Cleveland helped too.
Second, well a true test drive is driving in rush hour traffic in the Burgh, the hills and curves, well, I walked away from my drive feeling as though I had a tiny taste of what my car will do...once they build it...
As far as not seeing a whole lot in the Y-town area, I think that's going to change real soon...at least judging by the people posting on this forum!
I was told I should see going into production the first week of May...but also to expect getting bumped up too. I figure it this way, I would rather wait and have the exact vehicle I want, then one that people got to drive as a demo. Plus this gives me time to save more money and as a contradiction, buy a few things in preparation.
So the middle of April? You can almost taste it!

The part that will be the hardest with my transition will be the wave.
Right now, I have a Jeep Wrangler, and we wave at each other.
I just might end up being that person who forgets what vehicle I am, and waves at MCs and Jeeps! (I've seen it happen)
Maybe I'm such a friendly person...I require an excuse to greet others?
Colinmini - I'll wave back

I went with the Lightning Blue
It was a hard choice, but I figured I'd keep the pattern going with all my vehicles being blue. Minus one, I had a black cutlass, but never again will I go with an entirely black vehicle. They look sharp when they're clean, but the second the wind blows, they're dirty again.
Runner up was Pepper White
