....oh yeah. i just spoke to my MA from my dealership (the same one as stevej): my car is at the dealership too. he was very surprised that both the MINIs arrived so early and that i happened to know more that he did.

Best finance rates thru Pentagon Federal Credit Union @4.25%. You can join for $25. Best lease rate is thru Autoflex (John Housel) Tele#1-888-234-1234 x541. Mini Finance did however match the lease rates of Autoflex.

3rd party (penfed). i'm 4%. never bothered to see if the dealership would beat it.

 

I also used pen fed. Did everything online. 4.25%. Had the check in three days. Very easy to talk to on the phone.

yeah..i'm thinking of going thru penfed as well... but i guess i was curious to see if MINI would match or beat that rate..that way I wouldn't have to open a new account and stuff like that... but i doubt they would match...but maybe I'll just try anyways...it doesnt hurt i guess..

man... i am so happy for all you west coasters getting your MINIs.. i mean, part of me is sad since i was so close to getting on that same boat... but at the same time, you all give me hope that once the ship docks and the cars are unloaded, it doesn't take too long to get your car to the dealership..and especially since I live in LA.. but yea, its just good to see everyone so happy

 

yeah....sucks you missed the window for the ship, booyun. but its just another week. though it is another week of a car rental.... cheer up. just hang in there for a bit longer. and like i said earlier, i won't stop checking/posting in this thread until every last one of us receives our MINIs.

I totally understand how you feel. My MINI finished production on 4/8 but didn't get loaded onto a ship until 4/16. I'm thinking it has to do with available slots on the ship and loading for maximum number of vehicles. I ordered a Clubbie so I thought maybe all the "clubbie" slots were full so I had to wait for the next boat.

I called Mini of Mountain View back, got a salesperson to check the whereabouts of Hawthorne. It's waiting to be put on a truck, looks like Saturday at the dealer. Works for me!

Edit; After typing above paragraph, I got a call from my MA, she said my Mini was put on a truck yesterday and would be at the dealer in "A couple of days". That truck/car carrier driver must be giving my Mini a tour of the nice windy back roads from Pt. Hueneme to the bay area.

I'm still betting on Saturday pickup..

Put the kid's seats in back and motored it home today! Nice sunny day allowed me to try out the sunroof! It's funny how many times I have to peek my head into the garage to get one more look. Still no name...

picking mine up @ 2pm'ish tomorrow. i originally took the day off from work to go to my gf's grad, but now with the car (and the fact i'm pissed at my gf tonight)...i'm now fully devoting my day to the arrival and pick-up of the MINI.

looks like i'll be watching indiana jones at the drive-ins on a cool friday night and cruising around on sat & sun. and yes, i will take pictures and make a report from my blackberry.

 

nice looking brg there, lenhart! and sunroof action too! nice...we're all looking forward to more reports and photos from the rest of yas when your MA calls and/or when you pick the MINIs up. 12 out of 33 so far...... almost at the halfway point. and almost home free!

if it makes you feel any better.... i know someone who's paying 23% on their car payments. and i also know someone who pays $2000 for their car insurance....EVERY SIX MONTHS! for a civic! long story short: led foot + mucho crashos.

Wish I could say the same... am looking at Tuesday at the earliest. I guess the Mini Gods think I need to work on my patience alittle more. *sigh*

No call from the MA today, but Friday would be the three days he quoted. It could be our Clubman is already there at East Bay, but they still need to install the checkered roof. Said they only needed 2-3 hours.

Hopefully the car WILL be ready tomorrow AND there won't be any emergencies at work that preclude me from taking delivery.

I played phone tag with my MA today; my car is at the dealer, woo hoo! She thought it might be available late in the day tomorrow, and if not, then on Saturday. So it looks like it won't be too much longer! I think I've said this 1000 times in the past 7 weeks, but I can't wait!

Week 17'er here, invading your thread...just wondering if any of the TURANDOT MINIs were headed to Brecht in SD. Mine's currently cruising on the FALSTAFF < 1 week out and was curious what I should anticipate as far as port to dealer time. So please if you could be so generous as to bestow some of your veteran experience on a lowly 17'er it would be greatly appreciated.

 

Been unfortunately away from this thread since I'm in the middle of moving and already cancelled my net service. Glad to see so many people getting their MINIs...and that chili red clubman with the black top looks fabulous.

So.....got a call from my MA today telling me that my MINI had arrived! Too bad I was giving a lecture and couldn't answer at the time. And that I was too busy all day to return his call, but I'll be calling him as soon as possible tomorrow (well, today now) to talk about when I can go pick it up. Funny how I was a bit hesitant at ordering one because he had initially told me that it would probably take until mid to late June to get here.

Anyone else picking up from Niello in Sac?

 

makes me kinda wonder now how they whipped through so fast. i know they process AT LEAST 400 cars a day at the VDC. but man......either nothing were wrong with the cars or everyone was rushing in anticipation for memorial day weekend. well.....lets hope it was the first one.
