My name is Conor I am currently 17 years old, my birthday is November 14. Before i got my Drivers license i was driving around a moped... I am currently driving a Chevy Cobalt 2.2 Lt with some light modifications, So why am I introducing myself you might ask? Well its simple. My mother had purchased the first 05 MiniS convertible. It turned out to be a lemon soo prestige mini gave my mother a whole new one! My mom took good care of the car (it had its fair share of problems) but she wanted to move on. So she purchased the new Bmw 1 series yesterday. The car should be here in a month. So when the 1 series does arrive from the factory, I will be receiving my Mothers mini! Its a black 05 cooperS cabrio with grey straight stripes (not the ones near the lights) and lots of chrome. I am into tuning and would love to really work on this car. On top of going to highschool I work two jobs, one lifeguarding and another delivering pizzas. Yes, my mother drives stick soo it will not be automatic. If there is someone ready to flame me ( assuming every forum has some of those guys) I am working two jobs, I purchased my last car and my chevy will be handed down to my sister who is currently at school so no i am not a really spoiled kid . Anyways I hope to have a great time and I will be searching around getting my questions answered before i get the car! Thanks alot guys
Welcome to NAM, Conor! What luck for you to get your mom's Cabrio! You'll have fun reading about how others have modified their MINIs. That's very cool of you to pass along the Cobalt to your sister. Happy motoring!

Yea thanks man, I already did look around a little its pretty cool...I see alot of potential in this little.
Not to worry, dude. This is not a site where flaming is very common. Besides sharing a love of all things Mini, this group is pretty darned well-behaved. I'm proud to be a member. (Thanks, Mark! )

Well first off, welcome.
My daughter can't wait till her 16th birthday so that she can take over my 07 MCS Cabrio.
But its not a freebie, she'll have to work for it.
