Hi all-

I wanted to introduce myself. I ordered my new Laser Blue automatic Mini S with a white top & mirrors about 2 weeks ago. It's been built and is waiting for a ship.

I live in Los Angeles, and I think the next boat out to the west coast leaves on 4/28. I'm hoping he'll be on it. I think his name is Ollie, but won't decide for sure unitl after I meet him.

I can't wait to drive him and parallel park him! I'm getting very impatient.

I also ordered a pepper white MINI S about two weeks ago. Also waiting to ship. I'm in Scottsdale, AZ and it is likely our minis will be shipmates.

Looking forward for a road trip when it arrives.

Congrats! Have you been able to get any info by entering your VIN at the Willemsen website? When I enter my VIN it gives me an error. Theoretically should have our minis in 4 weeks. Yay!

Any idea where you'll be going on your first road trip?

I think that's intentional. The loss of sanity one experiences while waiting is promptly replaced upon delivery by motoring euphioria. You need space for this, so the sanity loss is actually necessary, and you'll never really need that sanity again as long as you have your MINI. No net loss....so drink the kool-aid and have fun!!!!!

I'm afraid I'm going to get my hopes up too high and then be disappointed.

However, I am taking the bus in the meantime since my last car was totalled, so it won't take much to improve the situation.

I'm a new owner too! My mini (who we named Scooter) was born on 4-16-08 and is awaiting tranport. I believe it will be on the same ship as your mini heading out on 4/28/08. Yahoo!!

Excellent! Where do you live? Wish the wait to get on a boat wasn't so long, but I'll feel better when he's on his way.

We live in Las Vegas and our dealer said it would arrive via Ca.
I think the EDA is 5/19 in Ca and another week to Nev. So excited, I think the anticipation is half the fun.

 

It won't be long now....
