Sorry for the long absence, but I wanted to have some time away to get a feel for my new Mini without too much outside influence! After much motoring, here's the scoop:
- Took delivery of Scooter 6-27 at Mini of the Woodlands. They installed the sport stripes and got the car ready in two days. The MA and all involved were fantastic. Time from Order to Delivery was 35 days.
- Miles placed on car: 1100, so the break-in period is practically over.
- Gas mileage: I've been averaging 33.00 miles a gallon per the computer and 31 miles a gallon according to manual calculation. That's with driving 70/30 Highway/City. Highway speeds are typically 70. I've been driving in mostly non-sport mode, so I'm interested to see how Sport Mode affects mileage.
- Scooter's condition: EXCELLENT. I've only had one small issue and that's with the rear view mirror (frame separating from the body of the mirror). Everything else has been fantastic.
- Impressions: More fantastically fun to drive and own than I'd hoped. It's exceeded expectations. Not sure what's up with the J.D. Powers survey. I love this car.
- Mini sightings: seems like I'm seeing more and more every day. About half of the owners will wave or give the "Thumbs up".
Keep on motoring!

i am already plotting my revenge, i have great ideas spanning from mild fun and games all the way through taking their cars apart haha.
the leader this far is putting popcorn curnals in their exhausts. that way when the exhaust warms up it starts popping and flying out behind haha.

well, i'm glad that i got that clear bra. i was reapplying wax to where it was stripped off by the installer and I found a 1/16th inch rock chip in it already, right by the passenger side fog light. It was bad enough to go through the clear bra and I think it got some of the paint underneath.
i think it would've been much worse if the bra wasn't there.

well I took a mental health day today, and gave the hubby Nugget for the day. I'm such a good wife!
I need to pick up some flats of flowers and didn't want to put them in my car so I have his ... (ok so maybe not that good of a wife!)
I'm considering changing the name of Nugget... I have been thinking about this for a bit, and there is another Nugget in Pa, so i will need to do a little research on the name in mind.. will let you all know (if you are interested) later!
Along the same lines but will be calling on DChaps for his talented design work again,(hint,hint)...

BTW, ignore all the rumors about "Small/Large Envelope means you passed/failed". I think the Bar Examination Committee puts these rumors out just to watch the candidates squirm for a few months!
CLEAR BRA UPDATE:
I was a dutiful MINI owner and paid for a complete clearbra, (hood, lights, bumper, mirrors). In my first month of ownership, however, I have gotten THREE stone chips. Where might they be???? THE ROOF, of course.
Sometimes, I just feel I can't win for losing!

We Broke 500 Miles!
So, Matt stopped by work, picked me up and we smoked it on the way home, hitting 110 miles an hour on the highway...Thanks Italian law enforcement for not caring about speeders!
Matt is totally psyched to not have to keep it under 3000 rpms anymore, now I'll let him got under 4500 rpms.
Wooooo H O O O OOooooooo
There are like, 6 other minis on base. I wish the folks who ran MVM (mt ves. minis) would organize a rally or big car ride for us...Maybe I'll ask them if I can do it myself.
Still waiting on the clear bra--damned mail!!
But, we got the word "turbo" to stick under MINI COOPER S logo, and I special ordered "R56" for the passenger's door, under the side scuttle.
Also, the "mud flaps" which aren't "flappy" at all...will install this tomorrow at work *Auto Hobby shop* and take photos for all to see.
Got Ed at Cooper Flags designing a "Mystique" for the doors, where the S is the cooper s logo. He had the best price, and good reputation.
When Mike S gets back from Minis in Mountains he'll make our badges. I havent forgotten about us...and neither has he.

Euseys, my husband did the same on the highway, coming home from dinner last friday night, he passed someone and off he went! also 110 (it was so smooth) with the convertible down he was doing to "woohooo" also... I laughed the whole way home...
Yesterday i let him take the car to work, asked how he day way, he said great go there in 10 minutes... (it takes about 30 minutes for him usually).
