SCMM does something pretty much every week. It's usually breakfast or lunch-related; the joke is that we're an eating club that just happen to all drive MINIs! We're going to Planes of Fame later this month.
P.S. WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!
McMillin Lomas Verdes community, part of the Burbs around Otay Ranch Town Center (mall).
Got a forclosure for a steal, $370K. 4 bedroom 2 bath. Only a short drive to Naval Pier for Matt.
I'm coming to San Diego alone in December with the dogs (close escrow DEC 26!) and will stay in the empty house until March 01 when Matt arrives from Italy.
So, if you're in SoCal, I'll post my new number soon. Looking forward to motoring with you!!

Man i'm sorry to hear that you guys got laid off. I hope things go alright for you and God opens up doors. I was really looking to move from my current job, but staying with Apple might be for the best at the moment, we are one of the few companies doing well in the midst of the flailing economy.
As for my woes, my Bluetooth/USB iPod adaptor just stopped working today. So now I have no hands free phone, no voice dialing and worst of all, no iPod.... I may have to use a CD for the first time in years.... whoa i'm afraid. I rang Ottos to see if I could slip the car up there, grab a MINI loaner and just wait til they fix it, but nope. The only have POS enterprise cars, and the next slot would be for monday. ewww

Dchaps - stay at you current job, seriously in this economy it you have more security there then to move somewhere else at the moment.
I thought i was sucure, heck, i helped start this company!
I fully believe there are doors waiting for me, and have been praying i don't miss them!
thanks for your support, about the blue tooth, good luck, probably something very simple, once you get it in there they will probably have it fixed quick!

welcome back! how was your trip?

It was amazing.... we hiked the Inca trail to Machu Picchu, kayaked in lake titicaca, stayed with locals on the lake, and did the Peruvian Amazon!! We also met a very cool British couple while there who happens to own a classic MINI....
loads of photos: http://easc.shutterfly.com/
I do have to mention, if anyone does want to hike the Inca Trail, I strongly suggest you use any company other than SAS Travel... our tour company subcontracted with them for the trail segment of the trip, and SAS provided a horrible guide who made the trail pretty unpleasant....my husband was trying very hard to not push him off a cliff. He was rude, arrogant and unhelpful in any way he possibly could be.

Hi all,
Wow, we've all been very busy. I wish the best to those of us with difficult news, and share your joy with those of us with happier news.
In Eusey world, here's an update...
Just got back last night from 46 hours of constant travel from San Diego CA to Naples Italy. We did more paperwork and cleaned the new house. We close escrow Dec 29. Seems so real now that we have a firm date.
We bought the house sight-unseen, over the net with my ReMax agent, Brad Middleton. He's the best. 23 photos later, we went for it. (haha, there's 23)
It's in McMillin Lomas Verdes, part of Otay Lakes in North Chula Vista. We're joining San Diego Mini enthusiasts to play with the MINI in California.
We clean her, and turn her over to the shipping company TODAY, for her 55 day journey across the ocean. Remember when your Mini was coming across the water? Well, Mystique never did that==she was put on a train across Europe, then a truck. She's never been in a boat before!!
The movers come on Nov 21 (Eeek! like, 2 days!) and again on Nov 24-25-26 for the furniture. Thanksgiving dinner will be frozen dinners...
I leave Naples Italy permanently on Dec 22, (no Christmas in Italy with the DH) arriving in San Diego with 2 doggies.
Matt is released from NCTS Naples on March 01, so I'll have the house unpacked, painted, cleaned and ready for his arrival.
We're doing paver stones in the backyard and artificial grass too. (trueturf.com)
I'm looking for a job effective April 01, too occupied with house stuff before then...And, praying the market looks better in the Spring-- give the new president and the economy a chance to lick its wounds and start rebounding.
Well, I'm OFFLINE for a long time beginning Nov 21, SO please know I'm thinking of my friends from week 23, and can't wait to see some of you at MINI Events. I've got my week 23 sticker on...can you see me?
Signing off for another Navy relocation...back when we can...
