nice to chat with you on the phone. Still sorry things didn't get relayed back to you faster. In Oregon 14 inches of snow and ice, Two Holidays and a sometimes flaky outside vendor can make a bad situation worse.
Like I said, happy to work with you in the future, happy to offer a discount, just want you to be happy moving forward. Your business (just like EVERYONE's here) is very important to me and my staff. (Your money was refunded BTW, but your bank may take sometime before it shows in your account. Our records show 1/2/09 it was processed.)
Keep me posted Week 23 Group if I can help any of you either!
Chat soon!

I finally got my TPMS sensor installed.
I was so frustrated. I (loudly) explained myself and my complete dissatisfaction with their customer service in front of the other customers today. I got a half apology. The guy said that he was sorry, but he couldn't figure out what parts to order, and because of the weather they were having a hard time getting the parts shipped.
It was over 4 weeks.
I can understand a few days, maybe even a week and a half, but 4 weeks is WAAAY too long. Finally I lit a fire under their *** by calling the regional manager, and got the part 2 days later, when he personally delivered it.
If they were having trouble, shouldn't they have called MINI to get the parts?
I learned my lesson. I will never deal with a shop that isn't a "MINI/BMW" specialty shop, or Les Schwab again.

unfortunately the weather up here isn't really cooperating. It was doing so good just before Christmas.

Also when I went in they told me that the tailpipe recall was now mandatory, as in, if you come in for any service they will have to swap out the pipes...I told him I really didn't want them changed, he understood, but said he had to, so I let him, but I also requested he give me the originals. He had no problem with that, and he said, "the screws are still in them, in case they find their way back onto your car"
all in all quite pleased!
Sorry, but I have to comment on this. There is NO way they HAVE to do this. It is YOUR vehicle, you OWN the car. I just checked this at my dealership, and they have a button in the computer that they click saying customer refused and you sign the form.
No way do I want my pipes shortened. A company that does not own your car does not have the right to modify anything to your car without your approval. That is why when you do a service, you sign the form about them contacting you before replacing parts.
I hope you didnt have this done yet.

Well, I did end up letting them do it, but as I said, I did get the original pipes from them.......which have found their way back onto the car ... So back to original beauty..... So yeah, they may have been lying through their teeth about making it "mandatory"... but I look at it as, I got a free set of of tailpipes out of the deal. had the circumstances been different (me in a bad mood, mean service guy, etc) I probably would have gotten into it with him, for exactly the reasons you stated.... especially since I have the title, no banks own it...... it's 100% mine.
but that is good to know, thank you for the info on their computer sys- we'll see if anything else becomes "mandatory" and I can argue it.... if I don't want another free part
