Alex, welcome aboard. Dealers get production slots assigned to them and then fill them as they get orders (or order "spec" cars). In your case, the dealer still had a slot in week 23 when you got there. In my case, the dealer had filled all of their slots when we ordered, so we waited 2 weeks until they got their new slots... and we went first into week 23.

I thought it might have been something like that. So guessing folks who order from smaller dealerships have to wait a bit longer to get their order in. Thats a bummer..Thanks for the Welcomes! I posted up my order in another thread.

Anyone else getting a little more anxious as we are getting closer to June?? It's really starting to get to me and having my husband keep asking me if I'm excited to get my car isn't helping!! 
I hope you all are as anxious as I am.... Patience, patience and more patience....

I made my weekly call to MINI yesterday to see if there were any changes in our production week. The rep said "hmmm, i think i heard that they were closing the plant down for maintenance in June... let me check..." then he started laughing and said we're still on for week 23. Sadist!

I just called miniusa; im scheduled for production week 23; I expect delivery in mid-late July. I got a MCS DS/B. I'm on the east coast, ordered from Mini of Towson; Great experience BTW. This is going to be a rough wait. A hot summer and my current Honda Civic does not have functioning A/C. Oh well. it will be all worth it.

Now that you have shared, I can make a informed guess as to the shipping destination. From looking at other production weeks support groups, we will be allocated to a ship based on which VDC will receive the car.
