If you ordered in april, no way you would be week 23. I ordered on 5/10..
I know sterling had earlier allocation weeks back in april.
production slots are model specific. Are you buying the same model? When we ordered our cabrio, our dealer had slots available in week 17 for a hardtop but we had to wait 2 weeks to get a slot (in week 23) for the convertible.
You know, there is a lot to like about the number 23:
The number has been the subject of not one but two films: the 1998 German movie, 23, and The Number 23, starring Jim Carrey.
John Forbes Nash, the Nobel Prize-winning economist who was the subject of the film, A Beautiful Mind, starring Russell Crowe, was obsessed with 23.
The Ancient Chinese believed numbers conveyed sexuality - evens for feminine and odds for masculine. They considered prime numbers to be the most masculine, conferring special status on 23 which is made up of two consecutive prime numbers and the only even prime number - two.
Michael Jordan and David Beckham both wore 23.
Each parent contributes 23 chromosomes to the start of human life. The nuclei of cells in human bodies have 46 chromosomes made out of 23 pairs.
The average human physical biorhythm is 23 days.
Of course, I also like to play Blackjack, so if we got moved to week 21 I'd still be happy!
i'm waiting too!! And I was so consumed about the week 23 and a long of a wait is seems that it just occured to me that my birthday is the 23rd.... my lucky number!!!! So it is a great week for them to be born!
Well, depending on who I talk to my Clubman is scheduled for either week 23 or week 21. Ths suspense is killing me! I ordered on 4/19, so it's been a little wait already! This seems like an active and fun crew, so even if the MINI is later than I had hoped, at least I'm in good company.

Just say no to a week 21 MINI. It just wouldn't be ripe.
OK, if they built mine in week 21 I wouldn't send it back.
I just ordered my 2008 PW/PW MC today. On my vehicle inquiry report it says beside "Assigned to: A - 23 - 96255" What is this? Am I in week 23? My port location is SSIPOA. Where is this? Thanks so much for answering these questions!!!

I don't know. Call 1-866-ASK-MINI. I generally cringe at the prospect of dealing with a call center, but these people are good. The metric is clearly not how many they can deal with.

My husband thinks i'm obsessed! He told our neighbor about my up and coming new little SS MCS and then told him well if she is going through a mid-Life thing at least its a car and not a young stud!!!
How is everyone receiving information like port number and assignment number, from their MA or calling the 800 number? When does the VIN get assignmented?

The port was on the Vehicle Information Sheet, upper right. I missed the assignment number.
It is my understanding that the VIN is assigned shortly before production.
Please excuse my ignorance, but what is a "JustACooper"?
It's a MINI Cooper with few, if any, options. The car we're buying for our son is Chili Red (bypassing the $500 for metallic paint), white top/mirrors, multi-function steering wheel (to get cruise control) and auto transmission. Sticker price $20,200.
Of course, I'm giving him grief because his MOM will be driving a stick shift while he wanted an automatic!
Found out through an internet search that SSIPOA is the port of Brunswick, Ga. It shouldn't take too long for the car to get from there to my dealer in Orlando!
HOOOOOKAY! I just called 1-866-ASK-MINI (which is in Columbus, OH), and he said that Sparky is scheduled for production week 23, so I guess I can officially join the group.
The Owners Lounge on MINIUSA.com still shows 'On Order, BTW.
