Ah yes, but I meant there's no way to find out if my car is on it or not. :P

Seriously, I don't know how I'm going to make it another month before my car arrives. I like all the week 25'ers, but there's only so many times a day you can check the internet to get your fix. Maybe I'll start wandering dealer to dealer pretending to be shopping just to take a test drive here or there. I know there is a exotic rentals place in Newport Beach that has a mini. Maybe I'll rent one for the weekend. Anyone with other suggestions to cure the addiction?

Also, Mini Meet West starts today in Orange County (http://www.minimeetwest2008.com/) Incredible Mini and MINI ogling opportunities as well as vendors, etc, etc. That should help pass the time

Ditto. I'm really thinking we hit K-Line. Should change within a day or two.

If you're on a K-Line ship your MA will be able to tell you if you call them.

My MA hasn't got a clue I've come to realize. He said he has no idea how people find out this stuff and he won't know anything until he gets word from the VDC. Sucks.

Ask to speak to his supervisor/manager. Of course they have the ability to pull up what ship you are on. Don't take 'no' for an answer.

Ditto - I was the one who told him the car was released for transport! I think it really depends on the dealership and the training.

Exactly... my MA said he'd get notified by email when the ship leaves port with an ETA. He would then send that to me.

Just call and demand to know if your car is on a ship and if it is, which one. If your MA is unable to give you this information then ask to speak to somebody who can. This is their job and if somebody doesn't make them do it then they'll never learn.

I'd have serious reservations about allowing my close friends to drive my baby never mind strangers! No chance!

You wouldn't a poor non-MINI owner learn to drive stick in your JCW? How mean.

This is the worst part of the wait. The sitting at the docks with very little if no tracking information.

I highly doubt you're sitting at the dock, you're probably on a K-Line ship but you'll never know until you CALL YOUR DEALERSHIP!
