No updates anywhere... ShineMicro AIS still shows info as of yesterday morning (outisde San Diego, heading to Puerto Rico)... SailWX shows us about to enter the Panama Canal... the WW site's last info was from leaving the Canal.

 

Can I on behalf of the group so kindly ask SPF to call the port sometime this morning and see if they will give us ANY information? We would be forever grateful and would settle for "yes the ships here" OR "it's unloading..." ANYTHING!!!!!!!!!

 

Don't forget VesselTracker...It looks like they've moved us from the English Channel to off of San Diego.

At least all the sites are consistent, and they all say we're in the Western Hemisphere. Something's gotta give today, as Riggy's scheduled to leave for Shanghai today.

 

Luckily it says "delayed position" and that means that they made it to port last night and started to offload...

If this was their position anytime in the last few hours I'll be mad!

Just got an email from my MA:

"Your MINIs ship has landed but your MINI has not checked in so I will keep an eye on it. Sometimes it happens fast but sometimes there are a lot of cars ahead of it and it takes quite a while..."

Let's hope that it's FAST!!!

 

OK, so everyone take a deep breath.

I called the main office in New Jersey, and they said the ship docked yesterday, and is at the port being "worked", i.e. unloaded and loaded. And, it's on schedule to leave today. WW said their site and tracking info probably won't be updated until maybe tonight or Monday, until everything is processed.

So, seeing as their's a chance our cars might even have been offloaded, it might be time to start checking with your MA's. I'm going to shoot an email off to mine to see if he's got any info.

I got a call from my MA today, he told me the ship is at the port and they are being unload, and he asked if I would be available for a Sunday or Monday delivery. He said he doesn't know if it will get here quite that quick, but there is a good chance it can if I can pick up the car those days.

Obviously a big push for his month-end sales! Hopefully they can push through our 'pre-bought' vehicles and I can take delivery by Monday!!

(but I doubt it will be ready by then...)

I'd be happy with a Tues. delivery as well! Hoping before July 4! The wait has been so long, it's almost surreal that I might have the car by Monday!!!

 

I would be able to take delivery on the 4th. Ill be intoxicated starting a 8am jk

 

My MA just called today and said our car will probably be ready to pick up this weekend if the truckers don't lag. They're only installing a roof rack and floor mats so there's not really anything to keep it there longer. I think the dealership is anxious to get their inventory moving before the end of the month.

Unfortunately, because we're going with outside financing, we can't finalize the loan until we have a copy of the purchase order...which isn't available until AFTER the car arrives. So it looks like the poor thing will have to sit at the dealership until next weekend. There's no way I'd get my husband out there on a weekday after work.

 

Wow the dealers are really anxious I guess. Great for us...I would be jumping up and down for a weekend delivery.

 

Well, my husband's the only IT guy at his company supporting about 300 users plus he already has a long commute. He's usually pretty bushed by the time he gets home. We also have a two year-old to keep occupied. The jumping will have to wait until we all have more energy.

 

Just found out from the WW site that my car was logged as "discharged" at 2:55pm today.

got a call from my MA a little while ago. Of the 5 minis going to the dealership mine was unloaded first and is already checked out and ready to be shipped. He is hoping it gets on a truck and over here by monday (I am also!).

 

If mine gets in on Mon I wont be able to pick it up! Agh maybe Tues.

 

my MINI doesn't show as being taken off the ship yet. But, my MA thinks it can be here by Sunday or Monday, so I'm thinking it still might be fast tracked through VDC to get here by then

without a 'disembarking' notice from the RIGOLETTO, I don't think it will be here by then though.

 

Mine was discharged at 14:55 as well. Actually got an email from my MA today (first in a while). He said that the port was working overtime to unload the MINIs. Sounded like mine should be ready to pick up by the time I'm home from vacation.
