Now a little primer in International Adoptions... our daughter is adopted from China, and she became a US citizen automatically when she arrived in the US (in Portland OR technically). So, I'm announcing officially that Wellington is now a US citizen!

 

Once its on a truck, is there a set date?

 

I think they all lined up around the deck, someone counted to three, and they all jumped onto land at 2:55pm.

I'll start off, I in Telecom for a company called Paetec (a competitor of qwest). Starting next month I will be moving over to a new position as a service engineer.

 

my MA called and said that my MCS has left the port and is on its way upto the dealership here in the Bay Area! he indicated that since its nearing the end of the month the workers at the VDC rush so that the dealerships get their numbers in the right months....................i just hope that doesnt mean they didnt do a crappy job at the VDC.

Im an ASU student and assistant for my parents neighbor.

 

My wife and I are the Managing Brokers for the RE/MAX office in Stapleton (in Denver).

 

I haven't heard much. I called my MA who said expect to take the car home by the end of the month (now two days away). My wife is a high school math teacher and I'm a police officer. We can't wait.

 

I went behind my dealer to peep the inventory they were recieving. I didnt see my Mini or Dead Ringers Clubman :(

 

my MA called today.. he said my MINI didn't show up on the truck today, but they still think they'll get it in tomorrow so I can take a Monday delivery. I still think it's wishful thinking on the MA's part, trying to get the sale done before the month end. If they get the MINI tomorrow, that means it was put on the truck today and will show up in the morning (it's only about 5-6 hours from VDC to our dealership), and it means the car was at the VDC for only 1 day. that seems pretty quick at the VDC to me.

 

Wow, I hope they process everyone that quickly! Last info I had from my dealer was that they expected to receive shipment "between July 3 and 7, and deliver to be around July 12." I'm not having anything installed at VDC or dealer, so I'm really hoing to accelerate that timeline (a lot)!

 

Whats your Mini showing on the OL? Mine still says en route

 

My MA emailed me Saturday (I was gone ALL day yesterday)

He said: "The DCS, which is our tracking site shows your MINI is estimated to leave California on the 2nd. If things move on schedule your MINI should arrive around Friday."

So I am hoping he will process Friday (Oh no... I just realized that friday is a holiday....) I just called my MA, he said they are closed... So I was gonna say I was hoping for Sunday delivery but now maybe not until Monday or Tuesday... That sucks!

 

My OL still says "En Route"...

I'm bummed now... they should work Friday anyways lol

 

Anyone else have info? Im beginning to think its going to take a lot longer

 

"I emailed my MA yesterday for an update, and here's what he sent me:

"I do not have eta for your car to dealer, however, as I mentioned before, I can estimate your delivery date.
It takes 7 to 10 days to go from port to Denver, then when here, about 1 week more to do everything before your delivery.
Short ver 2.5 weeks after US port date."

Note that I'm having NO options installed at either VDC or dealer, so I'm really not too sure what takes a week at the dealer!

Of course here's what the Sales Manager emailed me a couple of weeks ago: "our records indicate your new MINI is in transit to the process center, we are looking at an Estimated Time of arrival date of 06/26/2008 according to this information given if all goes well you should be motoring within 7-10 days after that."

So, the MA says 2.5 weeks after Port and the Manager says 7-10 days...

 

At least you have a time to think about. My MA is pretty disappointing. He hasn't kept me updated at all, it would be nice to have a date because I plan on traveling to Cali for the rest of the summer but Im waiting on the car!

 

I feel your pain. Those are actually the ONLY two contacts I've had from the dealership since I placed the order on April 18.

 

I didn't have any contact after I placed the order until I called the MA late last week, once I knew the RIGOLETTO was at the VDC. Since then, my MA has called me a couple of times, hoping to deliver by tomorrow.

No call from him today, so I know it won't be tomorrow :( Didn't think it would anyway, it was just wishful thinking on the MAs part, trying to get more sales in June. As long as I can pick it up this week, I'll be happy! Hopefully before the 4th! woo hoo!

 

I got a call from my MA. And guess what? We pick it tomorrow! After driving around I'll try to post pics.
