First communication from my MA
Well, I finally got a call (and an email) from my MA. His update is that the ship is due in to CA on June 26, and they're expecting wellington to arrive at the dealer between July 3 and 7. That puts our delivery date around July 12.
Of course all of this is tentative, but at least it is something!

I'm really hoping that they're full of *&%)% and I'll get Wellington faster. Especially since his first drive will be all of 2 miles to get a clear bra and window tint. Same installer the dealers use, but I'll save a few hundred $$ going to him directly.
Plus, there's a really cool drive that MINI5280 has scheduled on July 12...

My MA is Brian. I harassed the hell out of him when I was ordering the car so I figure ill give him a chance to call me

Looks like, while WW has us due in on the 26th, the new port schedule has us due in on the night of the 25th. So, it seems we're still on schedule for a late 25th/early 26th docking.

I've been away from my computer for what like 3 days and I feel so out of the loop! lol
My MA told me that they will only have my car for a few days after the receive it from the VDC and it is going out for window tint and getting the sport stripes installed at the dealer. I guess it all depends on the dealers... (that and it's my second purchase so maybe they don't want to deal with me lol)
I am hoping for a pickup date of July 12th (takes almost one week on the truck from Cali to Seattle). What kills me is I could fly down the same day it's ready to leave Cali and bring it up here a heck of a lot faster then they can... Don't they know people are going crazy here!!

My MA told me they won't give anything to me for free, they said there isn't enough margin. I call BS I am going to work them over when I go pick it up. I want SOMETHING!!! Who pays full retail on a car and full retail on extras? I did once with my first MINI, but not this time! I'll have to keep you posted...

From Port Hueneme to Seattle, it's almost 1200 miles. If you travel 50 miles per hour, then the math works out to be 1200 / x = 50 --> 50x = 1200 -->
x= 1200/50 --> x = 24 (hours). if you travel 8 hours a day, you should reach Seattle in 3 days.
that's 4 days less than a week. Unless you mean business week, then maybe it's true. Just saying, that once your MINI gets on the truck, it should be less than 3 days to dealer. I'm still expecting at least a week from VDC to the Bay Area, as they have to do all that VDC stuff, then a day at the dealer to detail the car.
Man, I wish it were sooner!!

Yeah, that's just what my MA said but I can't see how it could be true. I did the calculations too when he told me. That's why it's frustrating! But I know my dealer likes to under-promise and over-deliver so I don't doubt that it will be there in a few days.
What do you guys think about the Aero front bumper? I am thinking about putting it on on Clubman... The dealer wants like 1200 or something CRAZY like that, the bumper itself is only like 400 so my hubby thinks we can have BMW paint it and install it ourselves... (my hubby has done lots of car work so I don't doubt the ability.) I like how it ads a more agressive look, but it's not the classic MINI front end...

I know but I'm lazy... So I know I don't have a lot of room to complain but I would rather pay more and have it done and over and have it now then pay less and wait and have to deal with it all. But still, it's overpriced!

(Posted in another thread by accident... I'm brunette I promise!)
We're almost there...... Anyone else getting a tad bit anxious?
I got a letter in the mail from my MA today, telling me that the ship is almost to California and it takes 7-14 days to get the car once it arrives at the VDC!
7 days is the minimum for getting through the VDC AND getting to Seattle!!!!! I'm excited!!!! (But with my luck the truck will break down or something and it will be 15 days until I get my car...)
The waiting continues...
