#178
i just ordered a car from my MINI dealer that was on this boat! The car had the specs I wanted, so I cancelled the order I had placed (was supposed to be week 28 and coming in august i think) and just took the one that was coming in on this boat since it was the same (and even better) than mine. Im SO excited...he said I should have my car by Monday or Tues YAYAYAYAY

Wow I'm jealous if you guys really get your cars so quickly! You will have to keep us posted on the progress...
I hope its late tonight that the Rigoletto reaches PH.
My theory is that since I was on the waiting list to board the ship that my MINI was one of the last ones put on so that would mean I would be one of the first off... One can dream right?

I actually just figured out the discrepancy...
The Port of Hueneme is located in California, USA. Wallenius Wilhelmsenis located in Norway, where the local time is 9 hours ahead of California. So, if the ship were to arrive at 3:01 pm June 25 in California, it would be 12:01 am June 26 in Norway. Different persepctives give you different dates!
I'm still hopeful that the Port schedule (showing June 25 pm) is accurate.

As far as our tracking "needs," Port Hueneme is the least sophisticated of the ports that MINI uses in the US. No webcams, no updated arrival schedule, no good AIS feeds. Once the ship went through the Canal we lost all ability to know where it is! Its as though we're in the dark ages... you know, so... Twentieth Century!!
So anyway, I was fooling around in Google and I looked at the aerial shot of Port Hueneme... I know this is NOT a live shot, but it made me smile...
here's the closeup of the ship at port:

SPF,
I got your note. I'm about 70 miles from the port.
But I've got this job thing that prevents me from just driving up there, at night, to look for a boat!
(Although I've spent most of the last few weeks at work reading this forum thread.)
I'm not sure there's much I can do. I mentioned to my MA that I could just take my clubman off the ship in the canal and drive it the rest of the way home.
But since I may be the closest, I'll let you know when I'm sitting in my new MINI!
(Sorry, that's bad karma. Mine will be the one that falls in the drink during the unloading.)

That's still a long way to chug up the coast! and, why does it say the destination is Puerto Rico!?
The W&W site still shows my vehicle as on the ship and that they don't arrive until today sometime. I think my little car is getting sea sick and really wants to get back on to dry land... :(
