I'm with you Jokell!! I've messed up a couple of screen protectors and only have a lifetime success rate of about 50% for putting on decals without bubbles. In fact I usually just buy two so that when I mess one up, I've got an extra! No way I'm going to attempt the clearbra!

My MINI was on the Sierra Nevada that docked this morning. I talked to my MA yesterday and he expected it to be at the dealer (MINI of Dallas) by next Thursday. I feel this is probably a bit optimistic considering I'm having driving lights installed at the VDC. I hope he's right.

Hell, I hope he's right too, because my dealership is closer than yours! So, if he's right, that means I should get mine about then as well.

Fingers crossed.

www.invisiblemask.com It's not something for you to do unless you feel comfortable "working" with it for 2-3 hours. If you have patience, it's not too bad.

This stuff isn't like putting on decals. It is put on "wet" with a soapy solution, giving you plenty of time to move it around and position it before squeegeeing it down.

Be sure and keep us posted! I'm watching what happens with Darth Small with real curiosity since we're both going to the same dealership (Brian Harris) from Charleston . I can't remember if you're having any sport stripes or lights put on at VDC? When I spoke to BH the other day, the time line they were giving me was pretty long.... I was hoping they were erring on the side of not getting my hopes up!

I'm having driving lights installed at the VDC, so I may be there for a while.

And, they are giving me the same spiel- "it'll be another few weeks" for delivery.

I hope they are wrong, but I'm definitely not counting on it.

Heh, I'm a controlling perfectionist with moderate OCD. To me, patience is a mere component of extreme concentration.

So far no complaints at all. I was thinking I'd regret not getting the Anthracite Headliner, but I really like the interior as it is.

Just need to study the manual to learn the OBC a bit better.

I just received an e-mail from MINI asking me several questions regarding preset settings for my MINI (i.e., radio stations, daytime running lights, etc.). Hopefully, this is an indication that my MINI will arrive at the dealer by the end of this week as I was told.

Here's the text from the e-mail:

Some pets look like their owners. MINIs, on the other hand, tend to think like their owners. The brake system with ABS, EBD and CBC anticipates your every move. The electronic throttle system responds instantly to your commands. Heck, your MINI will even turn up the volume of the stereo for you as you get going faster and road noise increases.

But that's just the beginning. Click the link below and we'll program your MINI to know your every whim by the time you pick it up.
- Tell us your 6 favorite radio stations so your MINI will have your favorite music ready and waiting.
- Let us know when your MINI should lock and unlock the doors for you.
- Tell us when you'd like your MINI to shine its big, beautiful headlamps on the world.

You know, I haven't received anything of the like.

Is it from MINIUSA?

I wonder why I'm not getting any of the correspondence?

Weird.

Mine came from my MA, not MINI USA. And it was way more detailed than that email, too.

These questions can all be answered by taking a few minutes of your time to allow us to program your new MINI to your liking.

Personal Profile

Your personal profile allows you to program each key to perform different functions. When pressing the "lock" button on your key fob you can choose to have the lights either flash or not flash. When pressing the "unlock" button on your key fob you can choose to have the lights either flash or not flash. When pressing the "unlock" button you can have just the driver side door unlock or the entire vehicle can be unlocked. Your new MINI features automatic locks which you can have enabled with two different features: when you start to drive, the MINI will automatically lock itself, also if you accidentally press the unlock button on your key fob and you do not touch your MINI for a short period, it will automatically lock itself. You can have either one of these features enabled or disabled. Your new MINI features pathway lighting which allows for your MINI's headlights to be left on for duration after you have turned it off and left the vehicle. With pathway lighting enabled, you can have the lights stay on for a period of 0, 10, 40, 90, 150, or 240 seconds to allow for you to find your way in dark lighting. You can choose to have the daytime running lights on your new MINI either on or off at all times. Your new MINI features a "lane change" feature that, when using the turn-signal stalk, will either have the turn signal flash either one time or three times.

Please select which features you would like programmed into your new MINI:

Locking the Vehicle: Lights Flash Lights Not Flash

Unlocking the Vehicle: Lights Flash Lights Not Flash

Unlocking the Vehicle: Driver Side Door Unlocks Both Doors and Boot Unlock

Auto Locks: Locks Vehicle When Driving Timed Locks

Both: Enabled Disabled

Pathway Lighting: 0 10 40 90 150 240seconds

Daytime Running Lights: Enabled Disabled

Lane Change Turn Signal: 1x 3x

Favorite FM Radio Stations

Preset 1: Preset 2: Preset 3:

Preset 4: Preset 5: Preset 6:

Please select your choices and return the e-mail so that we can get these programmed for you when the car comes in.

I dunno.

I never received a postcard either, although I was alright with that.

But not receiving anything at all is a bit irritating.
