Bruleto, my MA told me there was a "two day delay" at the VDC. No one is sure why, though. My MINI was supposed to be a the dealer last Friday, and I was supposed to pick it up Saturday. It was rescheduled to be at the dealer on Sunday (which it was), but it arrived with no driving lights. They were supposed to be installed at the VDC but weren't.

So, I'll be picking it up (hopefully) by this weekend.

 

Sounds kind of odd that your MA is setting up delivery dates without actually having the car. Mine got the car in a few days ago but he's waiting to receive the title and then for prep to finish to set up a time for me to pick it up. Annoying, yes, but at least I won't go there and have it not be ready.

 

Sorry to hear about the delays guys. I'm sure everyone will be motoring by the weekend. It's definitely worth the extra wait. I'm sending out positive karma to all.

 

Thanks Samart, it will arrive sometime just wanted it for the long weekend. Oh well I'm sure I will forget all about the issues when I'm motoring in the new JCW Mini, LOL.

 

Hi all - week 31 - 32 crossover! I too was told about the 2 day delay - auto's going south were delayed because of the tropical storm Fay - flooding and such. Hope you all get your MINIs SOON!!! Mine just arrived at the VDC - and I should be receiving her in 1 week or so.. can't wait!!!

 

Talked to my MA today and he said that the VDC ran out driving lights so it's causing a delay. We're shooting for it to be ready Saturday. I really hope it arrives. I took off Tuesday so I would have an extra day of fun.

 

Question - how do you order a premium package without a sunroof???

 

You don't. Just add the other included options separately.

 

Right. Rather than list the items, it took less space.. I didn't want the sunroof - but wanted everything else (little more expensive this way)

The Premium package on the JCW has sunroof, autoAC and MSFW.

 

That's the same on the other Coopers, too. But the MFSW also comes on the Convenience Package (at least, it did on mine), which means the Premium Package is really just the sunroof and auto ac.

 

Ah. When I was configging mine I guess it was when the JCW was the 09 model and the MC/MCS was 08. Makes sense then.

 

Well, I was supposed to pick up my MINI today. But I couldn't. However, it was for a good reason, I guess. I was able to sell my current car, and I'm happy about that since I don't have to bother with them (dealership) screwing me on the trade-in. But, because I sold my car, I had no way to get to the dealership. And my husband's working late today and tomorrow. I've got to have it by Friday so that we can evacuate for "Gustavo", which I'm so not looking forward to.

I've resorted to begging my best friend to take me tomorrow evening if my husband can't take me in the morning.

I hate being at someone else's mercy.

Got great news today, the squeaky wheel does get the oil. It turns out my Mini was put aside as I ordered a part for a VDC install that is not yet available, so we canceled the part, JCW Slotted rotors, and it shipped today. Will take delivery late Friday or Saturday morning. Now how to sleep for the next two nights, LOL.

 

I'm in the same situation so either my MA will drive my truck home for me or I take a Taxi to the dealer. Worth the 60.00 for taxi.

 

Haha, wouldn't have worked for me- my dealer is a little over 120 miles away!
