Positioning back of driver's seat

Is the driver's seat supposed to recline/tilt back as far as the passenger seat? My "new" (to me) 2002 Mini only tilts so far and then stops.

Should work

The driver's seat should work the same as the passenger's. On the inside part of the seat near the emergency brake is the lever with 3 positions. Assuming you don't have your seat too far back so that the back seats stop your recline, it should go down as far as your passenger seat. Hope this helps.

Thanks Jimmy Racoon. I've forwarded your reply to my son who is the one who discovered this to ask him if he tried your suggestion when he was driving the car; he probably did. He's a car NUT! Thanks.
