Congratz to you! Looks like several of us are heading into the dealers tomorrow for a start to a great weekend! Happy Motoring everyone! This past week went pretty quick since I was so busy at work. I'm really glad that the day has finally arrived though. I'll get some photos as soon as I get it home!

 

Glad to hear you finally go the "call"! Very happy for you. You are certainly deserving of your ride having put the time and effort to monitor the ships for all of us! Please post pics when you are ready.

 

Congrats to Chugiakgirl, twieland, and mrwickham (and all the Week 32ers)!! I've been following this thread to see how the entire process unfolds. I learned a lot from you guys! Until my Clubman arrives, if you see someone on Dodge St. in a blue Durango waving at you like a fool, it's not some random crazy person -- it's just crazy me!

 

I might see you there!!! I asked our MA if a JCW came in last night and he said that one might have, they arrived a little before we did. We went looking through the lot for ours and I did not see yours, but I admit that I was looking for a PW Clubman S more than anything. The only disappointment was that it didn't run up to us when we saw each other, probably tired from the trip.

Thanks for the input, you are right. Just paranoid about going back into debt (feels so good when the mortgage is the only thing you owe and I can't wait until thats paid off).

 

Thanks everyone!!! We'll be going down to the see our baby around 10:30, I'll take same pics, hopefully they will finish all the work by mid week. It's going to be hard just looking and knowing she/he is sitting there. I expect all of you to go put on some miles and take some baby pics!

WOOHOOO.... The car is amazing I cant wait for the rest of you to get your cars.... I have had mine now for about 12 hours and i think i slept about 3 hours last night thinking about the car and reading all the manuals. . . The transmission has been really easy to use too i haventr stalled out once and this is my first time owning a car with a manual transmission. I want to post pics but I dont really know how to do it here so I have to figure that out But im going to go motoring around first hehe Congrats o those picking up your cars today I know you will all enjoy your as much as I am enjoying mine now and even more

This made my day yesterday:

I was sitting at a light and a guy and his wife pull up next to me. He rolls down his window and yells "Nice car!" and gave me a thumbs up and a smile. I said "Thanks! I just got it yesterday!" He replied "I like it a lot!" and drove off. I then saw that he was driving a Lexus!

Man, I felt good after that one! Never had any compliments while driving from anyone above the age of 12 before, heh.

7 hours to go!!! I'll be picking up the Clubman (tentatively named Bernard) this afternoon.

Decided against the warranties for a couple of reasons. We'll just bank the money and let it work for us instead of someone else. Also they always offer the extended warranty later near the expire time anyway so why buy now? As far as the maintenance warranty, I really can't see that I'll be getting a lot now that I realize that it goes by what the OBC says as far as oil changes etc. Also we are thinking that Bernard may be replaced by a younger fellow in about 3 years anyway.... I know it is a shame to be thinking about that when I haven't even signed the papers yet!!

'08 Laser Blue/Silver Clubman S etc etc at the dealership and almost MINE!!
