My completion date was the day before it was in transit to the port.

The completion date is the final completion date of your car. It is probably already done and sitting at the port. Call back and talk to a real person tomorrow and I'm sure they will tell you the same.

 

NSX JR if your MINI is the same as your photo in your signature line, it looks like we ordered similar MINIs!

 

I'm ordering from New York as well. My production was supposed to be completed on 7/25 but the OL hasn't been updated to reflect it and I haven't heard from the dealer about it. How did you obtain your VIN Number?

 

On the OL.

When you are in the "Tracking" section, go to "Review Order Details"

There you will find the Production number and the VIN of your MINI.

Hello all!

My Wife and I ordered a new AB/AB Mini on the 12th of July. Talked to ASK MINI on the 28th of July and they say my car was completed and loaded on a truck on the 27th of July, so this makes our Mini a Week 30 car!

My dealer is in Virginia Beach VA, and unless I am mistaken their Vehicle Distribution Center is in New Jersey? I need to ask my MA again, but that is what he told me when I last asked.

James - a fellow Virginian? Who's your MA over at Checkered Flag? I've had a pretty good experience so far with Chuck.

Anyway, yeah the cars for Checkered Flag should go through the NYC port (which is actually located in Jersey City). Should only take 9 or so days from when the ship leaves Southampton to get to port. And then only a few short days to reach Checkered Flag!

 

Has anyone gotten confirmation that they are on the Don Juan yet?

 

My MA is Nathen, and I have had a positive experience with him, good guy! I have also talked with John several times, and he is nice too. I don't yet have an opinion of Checkered Flag Mini, not sure how that is going to work out...

And no shipping confirmation for me as of 28 July...

Just to confirm - I enter the entire VIN including the alpha at the beginning?

I was told by AskMINI today that my Clubman as "at the port" but couldn't tell me which carrier would be used. I called my MA but he didn't know either.

Yes, enter the entire 17 character VIN.

FWIW, my MINI was at the port on 7/23 but did not get logged into the WW database until 7/24. Only after this happens will it show in the WW auto cargo list on their website. Even though mine says I was "booked" on 6/3, my VIN did not give a result until WW recognized my car was at the port.

 

My car arrived at the port on 7/25, but still no WW booking yet.

I hope I wont have to wait for the next...

 

Sounds like we are in the same boat (or not ha ha).
I too finshed production on the 25th and am not showing up on WW's cargo list. askmini says i'm on the dock waiting for a ship.

 

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you guys (pun was accidental, but i'm going with it). As of the 25th i'm on the dock and waiting, still no WW info. hopefully i'll get picked up soon, my mini's coming to CA, thats a 21 day shipping time! plus VDC! its 2008, why don't we have teleporters? huh science?

I found out today that my MINI was handed over to the carrier/load per my MA however he's unable to tell me what ship it will be loaded on until later this week. I am officially a Week 30 car too! My MINI will be shipped into Jersey City so I think I'll be on the same boat as most of you (pun intended).

Very nice, I almost went with english oak too. But honestly I have had wood in my last two audi's and have been drooling over the piano black they offer in their "titanium" packages. So when I saw piano black on the mini I jumped on it!

 

And I almost went with the Piano Black but have always wanted the wood look. I'm sure they'll both look beautiful.

 

Good part about the wood is that you do get piano black door rings so you have a little of both.
