A week today for my car to be sitting on the dock waiting for shipment.
This SUCKS! OL says it's waiting, doesn't show on WW tracking and MA
info ( as of last Sat. ) says its sitting there.
The Patriot was scheduled to arrive in NYC (jersey City) today and leave later the same day, but the tub is taking a long time to make it across the Atlantic. Still scheduled to arrive today, but now she isn't leaving for Baltimore until the 27th. It still looks like the 31st into Charleston. This is worse than waiting for the wife to give birth. Agonizing!!!
They actually left Southampton a day late, that's what threw the rest of the schedule off.

Yep. Mine has been there for a week as well. Ships come and go, but my Mini just sits and watches them pass by. At least it has company!
I wasn't in a hurry to get my Clubman, but this waiting at the dock is just torture...
Progress!
"Hi Bob, it so happens that at 10:04 am this very morning, you're new Mini left on the ocean liner named the Southern Highway. Take care & talk w/ you soon."
Checked out the Port of Charleston estimated arrival for Southern Highway.
It says September 4th! So if it left port this morning and arrives 9-4 that's only a 9 day trip. Pretty quick if thats accurate.
What do you think?
I look at the Don Carlos in the middle of the Atlantic and wonder, what, did they stop for lunch or something? Warp factor 10 Mr Sulu!
I'm mad it's stopping in Galveston before hitting the Panama Canal, which is extending the journey a good bit. Plus, taking two days making stops in San Diego and Long Beach before hitting Port Hueneme??? Outrageous!
BTW, my Mom taught me how to say Heuneme. why-NEE-mee. Or something like that. I was saying WHEN-ah-me. I kept saying it like that, and she was getting annoyed.

9 days would be a pretty quick trip. The one advantage that K-line ships frequently have over the WW boats is that they make it over a day or 2 sooner. Still, 9 days would be really fast. The K-line web site lists the arrival of the Sourthern Highway in Charleston as Sept 4th just like your MA stated - however, they also list its departure date from Southampton as Aug 22.
I'm hoping that the arrival date is the most accurate - yes, a little selfishly since I think I'm on the same ship, but for your sake also K-Bob.
Ok, now I'm confused. My MA just sent an email stating that "your MINI is scheduled to dock at Charleston tomorrow 8/29". What ship would that be? I'm under the impression that the next ship docking at Charleston with MINIs would be the Patriot getting in on 8/31. That's a WW ship and my MINI doesn't show up on their site. Am I missing something here?
That's probably when the ship is due to leave Charleston. My MA says his sheet shows 9/2 for my MINI, which is when the Patriot is finished unloading and leaving port, not when it arrives.
According to my MA the Southern Highway was scheduled to leave on 8-22, but did not leave until 8-26. So I am sure Port of Charleston will update expected arrival to 9-13 or so.
At least my S is on the way!
I wandered into the OL today and had to do a double take! My Mini is on it's way! I haven't had the friendly email updates from my MA... I'm guessing that it must be the K Line and headed to Charleston. Then to Pittsburgh. Only a few more weeks, right?
HEY YALL..........it's official I'm picking up my car at noon tomorrow, that's only 33 days from order untill delivery. could be a record

I just got a call from my MA today (8/30) and the car is in!!!! I ordered Dudley on August 6. That's 24 days!!! I win!!!
Actually I think you will technically get the victory because I'm financing through my credit union. They're closed until Tuesday and probably won't mail the check from Atlanta until Wednesday. I'll be very lucky if I get the check before the weekend. I'm figuring it'll be 34 days until I pick-up mine, maybe on 9/8.
Hey peeps,
Anyone know how accurate the "estimated delivery date" is on the OL? Also, if this is correct, do cars get delivered when the dealership is closed?
This is getting pretty exciting knowing that, in any case, I'll be getting my MC this week!
OK finally figured out the picture thing, here are a couple I took yesterday, so far I only have less that 200 miles on it, but this is really a suprising little car. After the 1200 mile break in the real fun will begin. everyone asks how it compares to the 911, cant say yet but it might be a suprise to the Porsche fans. Hope you guys will be Motoring soon............it's 3pm sunday afternoon just got thru with 5 hours of playing guitar (7am till noon) and I need somewhere to GOOOOOO .
