What did you order? Mine is a Chili Red w/black top "S" but I have been giving thought to trying to change to All white. I saw a white one the day I ordered, it was parked behind the showroom and it really looked good.
I'm abour 10 miles north of Greer, but work between Greenville and Mauldin about 2 miles from Century Mini.
It's gonna be a long two months...............

Mine is astro black/black, black everything. My MA is Danny who has been good to deal with so far. I always know more about the status of my car than he does, but that's pretty typical for us OCD NAMers.
We should put together a quick ride up 276 to Caesar's Head after delivery. Should be a nice time of the year.

I'd heard the same thing (on this forum), but my MA just told me I'm scheduled for production in the second week of August. Week 32 has production going on August 4, so I assumed that put me in week 33. I'm totally confused too - but trying to go with the flow. Not totally successful at that yet, but working on it.

Greetings, all - I placed an order a couple of days ago for an MCS coupe. My MA emailed me back and said production should start in about a week - which I think will put me in week 33. This will be our 3rd MINI - #1 is long gone, but #2 arrived just a couple of weeks ago (justa Clubman for my wife) and brought back such happy memories that I just had to have (another) one also. We will be a two-MINI family around the end of September! Both will be PW, the Clubby with silver and my new MCS with black. I purposely ordered different options on the MCS so I could compare just in case we ever buy another MINI. So far, the Clubman has been great - has about 1500 miles on it now, last tank averaged 36 in mixed driving (OBC claimed 37.5 though).
I believe that week 35 will be either the last week for 2008 builds or the first week for 2009 MC and MCS. JCW Clubmans are already in the 2009 model year, not sure about the coupes.
Shipping times are roughly 2 weeks to the East Coast ports, 3 weeks to the West Coast. And yes, the WW boats are generally easier to track, but the K-line ships are usually a day or two faster. To me the most frustrating time starts when production is completed, but the car is sitting on the dock waiting for a ship. With our Clubman, production was completed on June 11 and it was scheduled to catch a boat on the 12th. But it didn't happen - and the next boat for the West Coast was 9 days later. That was frustrating. Hopefully, because production slows down in August the wait at Southampton will be less.
Happy Motoring (soon, I hope!)

re: final week for 2008 prod
I don't know what the final production week is - I don't even know what MY week is! However, I DO know that I ordered a 2008 Clubman just YESTERDAY (August 2) - yes, 2008 - and my MA is telling me that it will definitely be built sometime in August for September delivery? Do you believe my luck? I am having a hard time believing it myself. I just walked into the dealership and after a brief spin around the block with the demo and conversation on inventory, I inquired about custom orders. My MA consulted with his manager, and he came back with the good news that they just got a handful of extra 2008 allocations just the day before! You know the saying timing is everything - ain't it the truth. Now, this after calling every other dealership in the area (and some outside) for the last month and being told that 2008 allocations are non-existent. So, I'm thinking 2008 production will definitely extend into week 33, if not week 34. I'll keep you guys posted but I just got my build specs confirmed on the OL site - and it does list a 2008 build. I can't believe it and will feel better once status moves from "on order" into production.

Oct 10 seems like a pretty long wait. Unless you have a lot of VDC or Dealer - installed accessories (like a non-factory JCW engine kit) I'd think they should probably have the car at least by the 4th week of September and maybe even earlier.

I didn't get any accessories. My guess is the delivery estimate I was given is an absolute worst case.

I got my wake-up call at 4:28 AM yesterday from Park Lane Limited in London. It appears as though I got a 1 week bump from 33 to 32. Scheduled roll out is 08/08/08. My MA was on holidays and did not get me an update. Since the MCS was bought through BMW Military Sales, I cannot check the MINIUSA owners lounge for progress. The UK owners site does not provide any sort of tracking. I put the financing together today, and am awaiting a V5 export registration and number tags before setting up the marine insurance and getting all the proper paper work in order for shipment.
I will tell you one thing I've learned in this entire process. It's much easier just going down to the dealership and plunking down your funds, and driving off with your new baby.

Another week 33'er here. I'm told that mine should be built between Monday and Friday of next week and with any luck I should have it by Aug 29th. I don't have to deal with a Trans-Atlantic crossing but on the other hand, I've waited just as long...placed my order the second week of June.
