Are you having anything installed at the VDC? If not and there are no issues with you Mini I'm sure you'll have it by the weekend.

I fully expect mine by Friday and I'm in VA.

 

All, I just checked the Integrity's schedule and it indeed docked in NY and left NY today. Below is the schedule for the remaining stops for those of you that are still waiting.

Due in Baltimore, 8/12. Due in Charleston, 8/16. Due in GA 8/18.

 

Nope -- I'm not having anything installed so hopefully I'll be driving him this weekend. I'm just not sure how long it takes the dealer to clean him up. I'm sure they must know people are in a rush for them -- not to mention that they are anxious to get their money.

 

Would a dealer in PA have the car unloaded in NY or Baltimore?

 

How many VDCs are there on the East Coast? I've read of the ones in New York/New Jersey, Greer SC, and Brunswick GA.

If there's no other VDC in the North East, I'm betting it was unloaded in NY. It's likely the Baltimore port stop might be for other vehicles on the ship?

Check with your MA, they'll know which port and VDC it will be taken to.

 

Which options would be installed at the VDC? My MA said they would install my stripes at the dealership.

 

I know driving lights are installed at the VDC. Other than that I'd just ask your MA - they'll know what is being installed where.

 

Where in PA? I live in PA but ordered my car in Jersey -- hence the drop off in NY (which technically is really Jersey City NJ, not NY).

 

I would bet NY for a PA dealer. I don't think there is a VDC in Baltimore...

My MINI is in NY, my dealer is in Annapolis, think that makes it unlikely that there is a VDC in Bal'more

 

Looks like Integrity is spending two days in Baltimore. Arrived yesterday and will depart tomorrow the 13th. Charleston on the 15th as of this AM. Could maybe arrive Charleston on 14th, we'll see.

 

Found out that my baby is scheduled to be delivered to the dealer on Friday!

 

Mine too (or at least the dealer is expecting it to be delivered on Friday). The dealer said he could have it ready Friday, but I'd rather make a day of it on Saturday and pick him up them and truly enjoy the rest of the day. I can hardly wait!

Im happy you get to pick up your mini. Im hoping to here from my MA soon. I emailed him today to see what the story was. Did you pick out a name for your mini? I see most people name them. I'm drawing a blank. Mine is a lightning blue convertible and I know its a girl.

 

My MA advised that my car won't be ready until the week of the 25th....a little disappointing as I'm not having anything done at the VDC and others are saying theirs will be ready this week.

 

Yeah I just got a call from my MA - my car showed up at the dealer today! Apparently it was put on a truck as soon as it hit the VDC.

Has anyone heard anything from Mini of the Hamptons? I've called my MA there but haven't heard back from him yet.

Yes, my MINI's name is Sir William Wentworth. The name sounds a bit British and he was born on my father's birthday, so I decided to name him William after my dad.

Still waiting to hear if he's being dropped off to the dealer tomorrow. The wait is killing me.
