I'm picking up my MINI today!!!

 

My Clubman arrived at MINI of the Hamptons yesterday and is being prepped. Now I have to wait until next Monday 8/25 to pick it up (I had to make plane reservations almost a month ago and figured it would be safer to give an extra week in case something went wrong...) This next week's wait is ALL my own doing!

I'm looking foward to seeing pictures of your MINIs after you pick them up!

 

My car has arrived at Hassel Mini in NY. I go tomorrow to pick it up

The Integrity has unloaded in CHS, so now the waiting game begins again.

I was wrong on a earlier post the INTEGRITY arrived at Union Pier at 2150 last night 8/15 and began unloading the Minis at 0800 this morning 8/16.

I finally picked up my MINI today. I have to say that seeing it in front of the dealer waiting for me was such an EXCITING feeling. It's absolutely stunning and drives like a dream. I couldn't be happier and can't wait until tomorrow when I can drive it again. I will post pictures tomorrow. Wearlaz, you're going to have a great trip cross country!

 

Congrats! It's nice to hear that fellow owners are getting their MINIs - every now and then, it's almost like I have to pinch myself to see if it's for real!

I am looking forward to the trip for sure! I've had several items shipped to the dealership (don't want to pay no stinking extra luggage fee to the airline!) and it will all be waiting for me when I get there.

My second day has been wonderful. I've put about 100 miles on my MINI since yesterday and am getting about 28.1 mpg -- mostly city driving. I LOVE the smell -- it's the classic BMW leather smell. It handles like a dream and I just can't wait until I hit the 1,800 mile mark (which is when the dealer said I can drive normally). For now, I'm getting more and more comfortable each time I get behind the wheel.

I'm back to being a bit obsessive about my car -- watching where I park and obsessing that someone will be parked next to me when I get back into the car. My husband attempted to bring cherries into the car today and I almost bit off his head.

Here's a picture of my MINI but pictures don't do it justice. The Astro Black is just an amazing color in person -- especially in the sunlight. I have a couple more pictures in my gallery.

 

Pics look great, don't be too harsh on him, he doesn't understand. LOL
