Missed the boat
Looks like I missed the 9/12/08 boat to Charleston SC. I have been checking the WW site keying in my VIN and have gotten nothing positive.
So, I guess my JCW Clubman S will be sitting on the dock at Southhampton waiting for the tide to come in an bring another vessel. I was completed and passed QC on 9/9/08.

If you click on the satellite button top right and zoom in on the Caribbean Hwy ship, you can see lots of MINI's waiting to catch a ride. Hopefully yours is one of them!

Kellypgh! Thanks for the link, that is awesome. My port doesn't have anything so advanced for the customers... we're way behind the Brits here on this sort of thing. I work at Port Newark. Too bad the Minis go to Jersey City, I was going to try to get a peek in at the Ro/Ro operations and get some photos for everyone.
Woohoo! I'm on the Indy 2 This is faster than I thought. If yours was built by yesterday, check the WW site!

[quote=Wizeguy9999;2465534]Kellypgh is like the cheerleader of Week 37. Whenever someone is down due to their Minis not coming quick enough, she is the first one to try and pick them up.
Aw shucks, thanks... that's what this thread is for right?!
[quote=Red_Fred;2465550]I just found out that my little guy is in the body shop and still has a completion date of tomorrow. Now I guess my next obsession will turn to finding out which ship he's gonna be on.
Red Fred- I'm in the body shop as well but automated crackline is still saying completion of Sunday 14th...hopefully moving to the paintshop today.
It all seems so much more of a reality when you can see semi live images of the ships and those cute, colorful mini's all lined up and ready to come home. That's so cool that you work at a port too. What is the Ro/Ro operations?
Yes, the Caribbean Hwy is part of K-Line.
Woot Woot for all aboard the Indy II.

Ro/Ro = Roll on, Roll off; auto cargo. We operate some but not Mini or BMW.
The INDEPENDENCE II has a callsign of WGAX
It was last reported in Hamburg, so it doesn't look like we'll be able to track it often unless it's got a new captain who reports position more often.
You can track by callsign at: http://www.sailwx.info

I'm confused on the Indy II. It shows that its moored but on the satellite image it doesn't appear to be there. Do you think it hasn't come into port yet or has left already? I saw somewhere where it isn't due in until 23:10 today.

I called AskMini yesterday, and the rep said it was not in prodction yet. I tried your method this morning, and my MCC is in paint & will be completed tomorrow!!

Automated production status gave me the bad news:
"Your vehicle is at the port awaiting a shipping vessel. There's no shipping information available at this time."
Not looking good for me making Independence II. The WW site still tells me:
"No tracking information is available for the Cargo ID you entered"
Looks like Bronwyn's next opportunity to go to Brunswick, GA is a week away (9/19) aboard the Don Quijote or the Patriot on 9/20

Ah, Tancred to the rescue! You are such a wealth of information. Week 36'ers are sure lucky to have you. Thanks for the clarification. I was wondering when the satellite didn't show anything but figured since it was still in moored position, it was right.
Hopefully you will hitch a ride today!

Ask Mini
I spoke to Riley a moment ago and he said that once our minis leave the plant and are in transport Ask Mini can no longer give us updates and our MA or Dealer should be able to assist us.
So, if you are in "transport" not "en route" the Dealer is the only option for updates. Since my MA lacks communication skills, I going to go out and buy a crystal ball.
