Just checked into the OL and found out that I moved up to 'Scheduled for Production' and I have my Vin. Called 'Ask Mini' but they don't have a confirmed date yet. I will call again tomorrow.

 

Yep, it's about 6:30 and I am scheduled for production with a VIN number. I'll call later today to see if they have an exact date.

 

Me too!! I just checked the OL and saw that I'm scheduled for production and have a VIN. It's gonna take a while for the smile to leave my face .

 

I also am Week 37 and ask mini says my car is in production. Where / when do I get the VIN?

 

Yeaaaa! I can join the group with "scheduled for production" and received my VIN... finally we are moving along!

Looks like many of us in this thread will have MINI's with birthdates this week! I was so afraid I would get bumped back a week.

 

If you go to the Owner's Lounge and click on the order tracking option or the "Where's Your Baby? Track Your MINI" option, you'll be taken to a page that shows the order status of your MINI. On the left-hand side of the window, there will be a column with the status of your order and near the bottom a "Review Order Detail" selection. Click on this and you should be able to see the basic details of your order, including the production number, VIN, current status and options.

I just called MiniUSA hotline and found out that 1) my car is still in the paint shop, 2) should be completed some time tomorrow (09/09/2008). So it looks like we should be on the same ship (unless they have multiple going out at the same time). I'm hoping we make the ship that leaves Friday. We should be looking at driving our Mini's in early/mid October (depending on what ship they actually sail on).

I imagine we will be aboard one of those.

 

I contacted Ask Mini today and they said I am in the paint shop. Once that is done they will begin assembly, then it goes to another department, then to the dock to be transported to the port to ship. She said it may sit there awhile until it is assigned a cargo ship.

So, she said maybe late October early November to me. Our port of call is Charleston, SC but our Mini JCW Clubman S ill be taken to the Greenville, SC distribution center for additional detail work and "dealer installations" then it comes back to Charleston, SC to our dealer.

 

I check the owners lounge quite often, but I do have a question. Under Current Status... will that ever change during production?? Like would it let me know that production has started? Because it's said scheduled for production for some time now, but with no indication of what has happened since. Do you have to call ASK-MINI for more details? Is that a 1800 number of 1866 number?

According to the link above the next arrival in port hueneme, ca is "Traviata" on OCT. 5th, leaves southampton on SEPT. 15th...sweeeet!!!

Find ships that leave Southhampton and that will also stop in the port your Mini is scheduled for delivery to and it should be on one of those ships. You must also have delivery to Charleston. Thanks again for the info, it makes it seem that much closer!!!

 

OK ours went from "On Order" over the weekend to scheduled for production today. But when I click on details it only gives me the primary color (Oxygen Blue) but nothing about the roof color.

Should I call the 1-800 number to verify the roof color?

l just found out today that they moved me from week 39 to week 37! And my chassie is on "The Line". lt's kinda like winning the lottery So just pokeing my nose in to say hi and we'll be seein ya around campus. Chef

 

On mine it shows white mirror caps/roof/bonnet stripes under Featured options, not on the first 3 lines; you have to scroll through all the options in the little window to check them all. I'd check the list and then call and verify, before it's too late.

 

Just got of the phone with ASK MINI and they said I have tentative date of completion for this Friday the 12th!

Just got off the phone with my dealer (my MA is out sick ) and the finance manager looked up my status and told me that Bianca is in the paint shop and due to be completely completed tomorrow!

Since she'll be coming into Brunswick, GA it looks like she'll be on the Independence II leaving Southamption on the 13th and getting into Brunswick on September 29th!

 

Askmini just told me that my MCS is in the paint shop and should be finished by today!

This puts me ahead of my original schedule by about a week!

Maybe it will make one of the ships mentioned above?

Production has started with a estimated completion date of 09/14. Considering that the Traviata pulls out on 9/15, just one day later, we'll probably have to wait in England for another week. The next ship to CA doesn't leave until 9/22.

 

I just found out that I finished production today

Now I just need my baby to be delivered by the huge stork that brings the Mini's to the dealership.

 

My Oxygen Blue Mini Cooper went from "on order" to "scheduled for production" this morning!!!! I called Ask MINI at 9:01 and they told me that it was indeed in production and scheduled to be completed on 9/13. I got my VIN number so now I am going to go apply for my Penfed financing!!!! It finally feels like things are starting to move along.
