Week 38 Support Group
I haven't seen a thread for Week 38 builds yet, so I am sorry if there is one and I missed it. I am sefinitely feeling happy that I have a date scheduled, but it seems so far away still! Anyone else in the Week 38 group?
We are waiting on "Lola", a Nightfire Red Clubman (details below in my signature) and I know that the wait will be worth it, but it doesn't make it any easier to take!

PW/PW cold pkg, front fogs, english oak trim/mfsw, ipod/bluetooth, white turn signals, sport suspension. Also, it's currently configured with roof rails and alarm, neither of which I much want (but my husband does) -- I'm lobbying for sport seats and the premium package . . . .
We are both over-thinkers and will probably finalize at the last possible moment.

Welcome aboard the Week 38 train (or should I say ship) SirParlan! I totally hear ya about the "overthinking" spark. We changed a few things and played with the configurator a million times before finalizing out order (and of course may sneak in another change or two before the build)...it is the nature of the beast. We had the black and cream cloth leather combo all set until by husband decided he hated it (after having seen it in the configurator about five million times) and we switched to the Lounge Leather which is what I had always wanted anyway, but he had originally thought was too expensive...hey, at least it will give you plenty to do and think about until the lock-down date :-)

I was wondering ... do you think they schedule a bunch of Clubmen for the same production week, or is it catch-as-catch-can?
I noticed the clubbie factor during Week 38 -- seems like a good week. It's after the big European vacation month of August, so people should be going back to work with smiling faces, ready to build us some excellent cars.
I dream of sparkling silver ...

I wonder the same thing about the Clubmen
I had the same thought about how they do the Clubmen versus the Cabrios versus the "regular" Coopers....if they "batch" the body types together for production or not. I guess that is something I can ask the nice folks at ASK MINI when I call them to confirm my build date for the 87th time
So far, the weekly build threads seem to have a mix, so I am not sure how they structure the production. Possibly they have several lines, one for each body type. Seems like it would be inefficient to just mix them up *****-nilly.

Just got my production number yesterday for my 09 MCS and I cannot wait. Dealer ship here in Atlanta tells me we are looking at mid to late October for delivery but I am keeping my fingers crossed for an 2nd week Oct delivery...lets see how it goes. Good to finally be a part of this wonderful forum.

I finally made it! I was told I was a week 36 first time owner, but got the news yesterday I got pushed to week 38...
I ordered a base model 2009 mini cooper hardtop with a cold weather package, tinted windows and an ipod connector. Nothing fancy, but these cars already come with so many great features!
I will probably put new tires and rims on it soon and am considering driving lights in the front.
I just wanted to say hi and I will be around.

You must be like my spouse HTClubman who dreams about the car every night. Can not wait to get the VIN number and see it go into production.
