yup that's what they are, yup low/high beams are both xenon lite focused und adjusted by some hi-tech german diaphragm, a steal at $500, and one of the few options that's come down in price over the years. I'll never buy another car w/o them.

Ok I did a little snooping (ran out of valid reasons to call Ask Mini) and found out that there is a WW ship leaving Southhampton on 09/29 arriving in Port Hueneme on 10/19 (my port) and another on 10/9 and arriving on 10/29. The 9/29 date seems like it would be pushing it a bit. What do you guys think from your experience?

No experience, but I'd say your reasoning seems pretty sound.

It depends on when it's built that week, early to mid week it might make the boat, another factor is how many MINIs (and Rolls), are ahead of ours, how many BMWs the boat already has on transport, whether the boat is bound only for the canal, there are many factors working here.

In 2004 my car got stuck at Southhampton for a week and a half, waiting for a boat boound for Oxnard with about 500 MINIs (and a few Rolls) in front of it. I think the whole process is much more timely and efficient now. I hope so because it was frustrating also having to dodge 2 tropical storms and a hurricane (Ivan) to get here...

And the good thing about being in the first month of new MY production is that the VDC won't be hugely backed up with problems and issues.

So yeah maybe will will luck out and get the 9/29 boat. But I wouldnt bet the house on it...

15" 5-star wheels? Are U sure this is not a base Cooper, because American-specced R56s have 16" alloy Bridgespokes.... And no SSS. This has to be a European sale variance

There's simply no space for a donut S, unless it's a Clubby, and I dont think it'd go up front.

Weird.

Thanks. I think this may be different as someone above stated, the US spec MCS comes standard with 16" wheels. Guess we will see when we start getting our 09 MCS's.

Either way, I hope we all see ours soon!
It will be a US Spec car as they will not sell euro spec cars to the US guys here. (If they would I would have bought a Diesel Mini for the 60-75MPG capability!

Just called AskMINI--still a week 39.

The fellow--Nathan--said my paperwork had just gotten finished, so that's exciting, whatever that means.
