Ordered my MCSm on Tuesday (9/9), and my MA told me it would be a week 39 build (they still had a few unallocated slots for 39). I'm still waiting on a production number from him, but I thought I'd at least say hi and begin to commissurate with you all. I'm an East Coaster (Virginia), so I hope to be motoring by Halloween or so.

Thanks for the warm welcome.
Wandrur, I'm jealous that you can enjoy your Harley and not deal with as many idiots as I had to while riding around Southeastern Virginia.
Called Checkered Flag MINI today and found out that my MA won't be in until tomorrow, so I'll have to wait until then to get my production number. Looking forward to joining the OL and getting my VIN.
Have a good weekend, all, and prayers and good thoughts for everyone affected by Ike.

wandrur I was at RS today and talked to my MA, here's a timeline: expect our cars at VDC Oxnard to be done exactly 4 weeks after build week, then tack on 1.5 to 2 weeks to final delivery depending on dealer installed accessories, of which I have many, mostly JCW. that would put our cars in our hands sometime election week--that is if all goes smooth and there are no shipping or VDC hangups, or our cars dont get squashed by random hurricanes or breached boats.
It's too bad that Denver is in western division. seems to me BMW could save a little money and time prepping and delivering our cars from the east (like with KC or OKC) instead of backtracking them an additional 1,200 miles east thru the deserts and over the Rockies.![Roll](https://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forums/images/smilies/roll.gif)
And for everyone else on W39: call ASK-MINI monday the 21st and U should get a precise build day and VIN.

Apparently I am just a drive-by. I called my MA on Saturday to get my production number (so I could join the OL and obsess), and was given my prod # and my VIN. Then came the shock. Production code 151, with a scheduled completion of 9/17.
Looks like I have to jump ship and swim over to the week 38 support group. I will still follow this crowd and think good thoughts for all of you. The time will pass quickly, and we will all be out motoring very soon.
Thanks for letting me hang out for a while.

Hey everyone, took me about 4 days to finally be able to post. I've been reading this thread for a while. I'm a week 39 guy according to a few ASK MINI ppl. One guy today told me he had no idea, and the system wasn't showing a production week. So the guy today tells me that i'm scheduled for daily production meaning that they are collecting all of the stuff that needs to be assembled. So hopefully we'll be driving before halloween, what do you guys think??!

When I called today I was also told that I was confirmed for week 39 and scheduled for daily production. I asked if they had a build date yet and was told that they probably wouldn't see a build date but it would just go straight from this status into production and they would see a completion date. He also said that it wouldn't be too unlikely to see a start date by the end of this week (Thurs or Fri)! I'm keeping my fingers crossed and thinking happy motoring thoughts that we'll be driving Halloween weekend

Bad News for me... I just found out that since I ordered the sports package on mine I won't be getting it till around January... They stopped the production of the (2009 Model) Cooper S with sports package until December because the addition of the DSC as a standard in the package.. You guys mind if I still hang out with you for a while till I find out my actual Week?

DIG I believe the reason yr sports pak (and car) got held up is the intergration of some new e-lsd high tech german engineering with the dsc that wont be in production until dec. at least that's what Ive read on other threads.
I guess U can hang out.
but it'll get pretty intense here after next week, not for the weak of heart or feeble of mind. I predict at least 5,000 angst-ridden posts
4,904 to go, bro.
I guess U can hang out.
