Next week should be exciting as the building process finally starts. and then the nail biting about getting out of quality check and down to the port and then on to a boat. even when all of that is done, we are still weeks away ahhhh! 4,899

True dat.
I'm just looking for some way to sell a kidney or something to up the size of my down payment.
I'm so happy to at last be able to join one of these 'week' groups! Just got my production number after nearly two weeks of waiting, and the Owner's Lounge info says I'm 'On Order'. But when I called today, I was told I have a VIN and production actually started this week! I've gone from a knowing nothing to having a late Oct delivery look like a pretty sure thing!
Needless to say, this makes it even more fun waiting... I think I'm going to go in and watch the video on MiniUSA again and imagine it's MY CAR going thru the line!
It's also something of a relief to know that I CANNOT change my options at this point, so I can stop having those 'second thoughts'...
Nice to meet all of you - good to have someone to pace with!
Don't know what it would be for 72 months but I check on mine for 36. it is 3.91 and additional .25% lower for direct deposit.
Nice. I'm going to visit my credit union and see if they can beat what I've been offered by my dealer. Then go back to my dealer and see if they can beat what my credit union offers. I have a good credit rating, but I don't make a whole lot of money (compared to the sense I get of other forum members).

make sure U can lock in whatever rate U get for MINIMUM 45 days to cover any potential delays or problems. I'll start looking after Columbus Day, and hope the economy hasnt collapsed upon itself by then
Schomp mini uses and prefers some CU called Security Services for financing, and does not push MFS (by the way, they were awesome for my first car.) They told me 740 minimum to get a good 2- 2.5 points below mfs, and it gets better if U have a big down $$.
I can't believe you guys are getting such low rates! In NY the rates totally suck and I have a perfect credit history. Called askmini today and they told me i'm scheduled for daily production...boo they couldn't tell me a date for production or anything.

I have a 720-738, depending on the credit report agency. Will have at least 5k down, hoping for 8-10k, depending on what I can work out between now and then.

Called MINI today and whoopee! my car has entered production with a scheduled completion date of 9/24--and I got VIN #! Now, I need to memorize it to impress my insurance agent

i called 2x today, once in the morning and just before and spoke w the same freakin guy---he already knew who i was and i didn't give him my name, so they must know who you are before they ask for your name or production number because i'm not even someone who calls up every single day...still scheduled for production, no vin no date.
So, now that some of us have started production, has anyone heard/have any ideas whether we'll make the boat set to depart on 09/29?
that would be nice, but.... it depends on how many other cars are in front of us at the port, whether our cars are subjected to random QC tests at the factory (kinda wish my old MINI had been ) and other factors. but hey we can keep our fingers crossed because the next boat doesnt leave until 10/9 I believe.
